I was hoping the headline would read "Mountaineers Wake Up" but I'll definitely take this one. It was a GREAT day in Boone!
Too many people have been talking about us like we're dead. There is plenty of life left in these young men. Yesterday gave them some confidence. Now that they BELIEVE in themselves a little bit, the rest of the season could be very interesting.
Thanks to Tommy Bowman for the great coverage of App sports...as always!

Wow, that sounds low. I thought there were more people than that there, but I did notice the bank was pretty empty. Well I'll take quality fans over quantity any day. The fans that were there yesterday got loud and most stayed until the end. I didn't see any bad sportsmanship or fans embarrassing us either. A little cold weather and rough season makes the true App fans rise to the occasion I guess. Go APPS!!9Steelman wrote:Attendance 23,901

The only good thing about Saturday attendance wise, is that the angry midget who sits behind me in 111 was not there. He left early during the Samford game, and didnt come this Saturday. I hope he got mad and sent his tickets back and jumped on someone else's bandwagon.

I think 23k is being generous compared to actual butts in seats. The student section on the App side was not full, neither was the student section on the State side, hill was pretty empty and quite a bit of aluminum on the App season ticket side. Not sure how much aluminum was showing in the upper deck but I'd venture to guess 19k-20k actual butts and that may be high.87ASUgrad wrote:Wow, that sounds low. We are in section 111 too and enjoyed the GSU game. I think the section finally woke up Saturday and got loud. (It always helps when you have a reason also). Maybe that guy was a jinx. Good riddance to 111 of the mad midget imo. Go APPS!!ASUchipman wrote:The only good thing about Saturday attendance wise, is that the angry midget who sits behind me in 111 was not there.
