Stacey Barr scored 23 points - 20 after halftime - and snared 12 rebounds to carry Idaho past Appalachian State 83-60 Saturday, in the consolation game of the 33rd Lady Griz Classic women's basketball tournament.

Barr, a 5-foot-8 junior, sparked the Vandals (6-4) back from a 35-29 halftime deficit.

Christina Salvatore hit a 3-pointer to put Idaho up for good, 44-41 at 13:00 of the second half, but Barr followed with two baskets of her own to keep the Vandals in front, 48-43.

Barr added three more buckets in a 12-2 spurt that made it 62-47 with 6:48 remaining, and the gap grew to 72-52 when she hit a 3-pointer from the baseline at the 3:25 mark.

Five Idaho players reached double figures, including all-tournament pick Alyssa Charlston, who had 16 points and seven boards. Salvatore had four 3-pointers and 14 points; Connie Ballestero and reserve Brooke Reilly had 13 points each.

Maryah Sydnor scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds on the way to all-tournament honors for Appalachian State (1-7). Joi Jones added 11 points off the bench. Keke Cooper had four points, 12 rebounds and three assists for the Mountaineers.
