Heart - Live 2013

Heart can do tributes, but they still rock on their own. The truly amazing thing to me is that, at the time of this video, Nancy Wilson is 59 years old and Nancy Wilson is 63.

One day circa 1976, I wondered into Eddie's Music Store at Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville, and they were demoing some Bose 901s. Now this was the first time I had ever heard a pair of 901s, and the first time I had ever heard Heart, and what a great match they were. I was really blown away when they played "Magic Man" off of Dreamboat Annie (in vinyl, of course). Both the speakers and the song sounded awesome, and I quickly purchased a copy of the Dreamboat Annie LP. That memory still sticks with me today.

What??? You didn't buy the 901's????
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I remember "Dreamboat Annie" being a staple at our mountain house on Bamboo Road in 1975 and yes we played it via Bose speakers....could walk a half mile down the mountain and still hear it clearly. I think Richie Blackmore's Rainbow's first album came out about the same time. What a great time to be at App.

I think "Scatman" still has some 501's.

No Bose. Klipsch Corner Horns for me and Heart still sounded damn sweet on them as well.

In my dreams. Funny thing is, I was discussing speakers with a friend just the other day, and he remarked that he always wanted a pair of 901s and still might by them one of these days
(even if he is 54).

Saw them at amphitheater in Raleigh a few years ago with Cheap Trick and Journey... Good show!
