Nike owns the shoe market

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/83738 ... retail-270" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Between its Nike, Jordan and Converse Brands, Nike owns roughly 95 percent of the United States' basketball shoe market."

I was somewhat surprised to see the number that high. I knew Nike owned the majority, but it really seemed like Addidas was taking out a larger than 5% chunk. They have a number of NBA stars signed to them including Rose.

Wow. I have boycotted Nike for 30 years but I see it hasn't hurt them all that much. :)

I wear a New Balance 571. Made in America which is why I purchase this particular shoe. Then again that is not a high-cut basketball shoe either.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.
