“Just kind of the way we ended the season, we want to be a real run-dominant team. We want to be able to run the ball down anyone’s throat,” Chapman said. “They might try to scheme it, but (part of) being a mature group, is to get over that obstacle of knowing teams are going to try to scheme for us.”

I love this guy!!!

The fact that we have Lamb throwing to Meadors, Jones, et al and we're still a run-first team makes me salivate.

One of the sweetest memories I have is of the 2006 championship game against UMass, when KR ran the ball down their throats. Yeah, we could throw the ball all over the field, but when we found out they couldn't stop what they knew was coming, it was a thing of beauty.

That is a perfect comparison of the type of team that I think we have this season. Lots of young players with lots of reps and a running game that wears defenses out. Seeing KR run through UMass was awesome. You could tell that every time he gained 6 or 7 yards a pop, it just demoralized the defense.

We probably won't see it much if at all, but wouldn't it be sweet to have a two-back set with Cox and Upshaw?

I've read a lot about Clemson's D and spent a fair amount of time on their message boards.

At the very least, I know we should be able to move the sticks and put points on the board.

Whether or not we can stop their offense, I'm not sure. But, at least their kicking game will be working with their 2 deep guy(s). Maybe some coming away with 6 points a couple times could keep things interesting.
