Very disappointing. The guys was promoted as being "The Bomb" by folks at Northwestern State before we hired him. My take is...not so much. In fact, not at all. No tenure track, please.dubs21 wrote:Apparently the new band director can be a little difficult to work with.
This is disappointing. Would be great to have them there.

Sorry if you heard that about him, it isn't true. It costs a lot of money to travel with 300 people even if it is just a day trip. Florida in 2010 costs close to $120,000 and ECU cost $90,000. I know the ECU trip was funded by a very generous and wonderful donor. My understanding is that they are saving for a bowl game which will be at least a one night stay, possibly 2. It would have also cut close to 400 seats out of the app ticket allotment for Clemson.

I understand it is expensive for band to travel. But that is not what I was referencing with regard to my first comment. Maybe things have changed.
Good news about the planning for a bowl game.

Thanks for actually providing some info on the situation since some folks just decided it was all on the band director.BTK2000 wrote:Sorry if you heard that about him, it isn't true.
