Re: ESPN pulls announcer
So imagine for a second Lee and ESPN don't make this move and the KKK hear about it and set up a march on the tailgates as a symbolic show that God brought Robert Lee to Charlottesville. Clash occurs with college students. How hard would you all be coming down on ESPN for not having the foresight to...

Re: ESPN pulls announcer
ESPN attempts to do the right thing and make sure the UVA game is focused on sports and the student athletes rather than the recent events. Sadly someone couldn't just let it happen and now the game will be known for all the wrong reasons. Selfish to make this anything other than the play on the fi...

Re: ESPN pulls announcer
In light of the events in Charlottesville they asked him if he would prefer to call another game, to which he said yes. I know it isn't as sexy a headline, but he wasn't pulled or fired, he freely made a choice to call another game. This is a total non issue. LOL

Side note, when he was a freshman at App, Luke Combs auditioned and got into an Acapella group I was in. Oddly enough he was our go to for rap solos on a couple songs. I had the pleasure of singing with him for a couple years and invited him to his very first App "game", fan fest.

Re: 2017 UDFA Thread
The biggest issue for Marcus is Jaylin Moore. Moore looked so good while Cox was out. I am sure scouts are seeing his success as it being a great system as opposed to his performance. Cox, sans a holding call, had over 130 yards in one quarter against Miami while Moore didn't even get close. In my ...

Re: Favorite High Country Eatery
Been the same since I was a six year old boy visiting the high country with my parents. Grandview on 105 in foscoe across from the entrance to seven devils. Best biscuits and gravy on this planet. For a nice upscale dinner, gamekeeper cannot be beat on shulls mill drive. I always get the mixed game ...

Re: footsloggers closes
Having ran a retail store on King St that closed its doors I can tell you it's not good. Game day Saturdays and 4th of July comprised about 5-10% of annual sales. Students can't afford retail stores and locals don't shop downtown. Even if they did, parking as we all know is less than stellar. Love B...

We wore an almost identical alternate jersey against the Jacksonville Dolphins in like 2008 I think. Still have the game worn jersey in my closet.

Re: Just in asu going back to Camilla
On January 7, 2014, UCF was ranked No. 10 in the seasons final AP Poll, the highest ranking in school history. Number 10 in the nation just 2 years ago. Dante Culpepper, Blake Bortles, Brandon Marshall, Latavious Murray, Asante Samuel are all football alums. Its also the largest school in the state ...

Re: Just in asu going back to Camilla
Would love to play Toledo in any other city hosting a bowl. Montgomery blows, oh well. Did you go last year? I ask because everyone that I have talked to said they had a great time last year as did everyone in our group. It might not be a family destination like Orlando or all out party scene like ...

Good, then who matters will watch it, will we have a few less random 30 and 40 something men around the country checking out a few plays sure. 18 year old kids aren't watching either bowl regardless of channel.

Re: Bowl carousel????
I want the best bowl game for the program. It's not about me or my personal desire to make a side trip to Disney. I think a bowl game like the Cure gets swallowed up in a city like Orlando. With virtually no tv coverage no one other than fans of the two schools playing will even know this game was ...

If UFC is the opponent they are very aware. Montgomery was dead, no atmosphere, half the buildings are boarded up. I loved the history and food, but its a crappy city.No thankshapapp wrote:If it is Toledo in Montgomery, I would take that over a bowl in city that is likely unaware that the game is being played.
