Re: Post-Game Prayer

"I don't think this is the proper time nor place for witnessing..." Wow, WV...are you sure? I can think of one coach (whom you obviously admire) who would disagree with that opinion. I think there is a huge difference between in the mental capability and understanding of a 18-22 year old college yo...

Re: Post-Game Prayer

"They are also trying to stop the high school coach from using religious references or witnessing to his players!" I don't think this is the proper time nor place for witnessing - as a former coach I would not have used this kind of approach even if I were very religious - I have no problem with pre...

Re: Roll Call for ASU-ECU

Sorry but we won't be making to Greenville this year - just too old - last time after climbing the 75 ramps leading to the upper deck and finally getting there only to discover our seats were another mile up and on the last row - sitting in 110 degrees my socks were catching the sweat from all the w...

? for the Powers to Be

Sorry if this has been asked previously - haven't read all the questions --- Is it possible to set this mmb up like the old mmb where we get an email when someone replies to our post? - there is no question that that item led to increased activity - many times i would be leaving a site or leaving th...

Re: Greetings from Down East

I will pull for ECU in games after Sep 1 because your athletic staff has the balls to play us - not meaning you guys should be afraid to play us just that you are open to play an in-state rival without using excuses like the tarholes do - Please beat the crap out of the holes for all of us ...

Deano - glad you are part of APPworld now that you are no longer as revered in Chapel Hill --- Just kidding    I think the stats said he had 3 receptions - just spoke with a friend who went to fanfest and he said the thing that impressed him the most about Sumler was that ...

Re: ODU FBS Sked Benefit

"Perhaps, but Tech hadn't shown interest in scheduling ODU prior to their being an FBS team. Beamer said that since they were an FBS school in Virginia, then the two should play."

I agree - I was making a point that if both ODU and JMU were FBS I don't see VT going to Harrisonburg---

Re: ODU FBS Sked Benefit

It must be taken into consideration on this that Norfolk is in the middle of one of the recruiting hotbeds on the East Coast - Tech relies on players from Tidewater and battles UVA for the talent - playing a game there makes sense - don't know but I would doubt they would be as receptive if ODU was ...

Re: Scrimmage Opinions

Saint - I know you weren't privy to the defensive calls but with that caveat what did you see as the problems with the coverage in the secondary? --- this is a little concerning knowing that ECU will likely throw the ball a lot ---

Re: Fan Fest

Man, Firemoose - I am really sorry for your losses - losing parents, family and friends is always tough regardless of age - I think why many of us look so forward to football season - spending a Saturday in Boone and at KBS takes us away from the trials and tribulations of everyday life - Hang in th...

Re: AE and the Panthers

Rankin - the point I think many of us are making is that he isn't going to get any playing time with the Panthers - hey I have TWC so I have to watch the Panthers every Sunday and I would love it if they kept him and played him - no one sees that happening therefore as I stated earlier I wish someon...

You know it does seem like yesterday and I never get tired to seeing, hearing or thinking about that weekend - we had a really nice trip up, enjoyed our time in Ann Arbor (really neat college town which did surprise me somewhat), what a day on Saturday - Wow!!! - really enjoyable memories ---
