Re: Birmingham Bowl

At the beginning of each season, every school knows the playing ground. You win enough games, you are potentially in the cfp. If you have a decent record, you will be on invited to a bowl game. You also know, that depending on your record, you may not be invited to an elite bowl. You also know that...

Are they going to update this headline to recap the Arkansas State game?

Re: Birmingham Bowl

Amtrak Crescent train 19 can get you to Birmingham at 1:00 pm, which is not going to work to get you to the game that very day and be on time but you can go down a day early. The Northbound Crescent train 20 leaves Birmingham at 5:24 PM so you could get the train after the game if you don't want to ...

Re: Birmingham Bowl

If the players want to play then I support this. Limping in with a losing record and only qualifying due to others turning it down, I do hope the contracts are written where getting to a bowl like this does not generate a coach’s bonus. I feel like that money could go to others teams or areas.

If I'm awake enough to count properly 10 Sun Belt teams will be in post season play???? Gotta be a record. Wonder how much money will come in from these games.....
With all the expenses I suspect about $3.50.

Re: If we win...

One thing that would help all Sun Belt members is for JMU to make the playoffs. Means a hefty stocking stuffer at Christmas for Sun Belt programs and one fewer bowl destination to compete for. I cannot pull for JMU to make the CFP. And I’m not sorry for saying it. I consider JMU to be there with Ga...

Marshall fans yapping online about our bad broadcast view and our announcers being bad.
UNCC fans did the same with the basketball game. What do they both have in common? They have an L to us in the last 24 hours.

Re: Women's tennis first ranked win

The camera view I watched had the last point from the other side of the court. Was there two streams of court 4, one for each side of the court?

I did get the benefit of two f-bombs from the USC tennis player so I would have missed that had I been on a different view.

She has a bit more bounce in her step now as well. Got her second wind, hopefully.

Up 5-3 in 3rd set.

Idaho at Sac State

Late in the evening I hit up ESPN+ for a west coast game and the only interesting game that connected to App State was Sac State at home against Idaho.

Heck of a finish to that game to see Sac State win.

Should be watchable if you have ESPN+ for a week or so.

They won’t. Had to win today.
Very true. They had a rough OOC and now falling apart. Improving, which is good to see.

Re: WCU Football

WCU dropped another game to ETSU. Mercer won so the elusive SoCon conference title will have to wait until 2026 at the earliest.

Hopefully they can make the playoffs.

Re: WCU Football

Western having a good football season is good economic news for WNC west of Asheville. The area has businesses still struggling after Helene. Restaurants and hotels need their business on game weekends. After 10 years of separation between our FBS and their FCS it seems pretty outdated to consider ...
