Re: Portal time 25-26
Depends on what they offered him vs everyone else. While New Brunswick isn’t the prettiest part of NJ it’s pretty nice and convenient to NYC. I’d definitely choose to live there over a lot of SEC and big 10 locales for ~ the same money Only real option in NY is Syracuse which is nice down to the fi...

Re: FCS national championship
FCS playoff TV ratings minus the champ game as I doubt its published yet. One thing to keep in mind with sports numbers. How many of these are bars that try to put every game up somewhere thats on TV. Gotta love that 400k for a semi final game. https://herosports.com/fcs-football-tv-viewership-rati...

Re: Portal time 25-26
Agents still have to be licensed in every state. There is an application process and you have to meet certain requirements in order to be an agent. What i haven't looked into is whether the ncaa is going to require anything of the agents. So there is some filtering due to having to be qualified for ...

Re: FCS national championship
Why would I want to run my program through a playoff when most of my starters would sit out foe the transfer portal so they don't get injured before their next paycheck? If im a star player looking to move on for a bigger pay check why would I risk that injury? This is a professional league now. Yo...

Re: Portal time 25-26
His post App coaching career has been rough for him even before the NIL/portal. He is going to have to reinvent himself if he wants to keep his current job or get another p4 job.

Unless there are big improvements next year. Satterfield might be in the portal. He isn't doing any better than he did at Louisville.

Re: Portal time 25-26
The current Ole Miss QB who is vying for a chip played 3 seasons at a D2 college. There is quality talent at the D2 and FCS level and I hope we consider those areas more instead of trying to grab disgruntled P4 bench players.

Re: Portal time 25-26
So…I’ll roll a grenade in here: is money the only reason all these players are bailing? Or is it possible other issues are at play, as the parent comments on X would suggest? Some might be getting immediate offers, but i think more is an inflated sense of ability that is driving to Think they will ...

Re: Portal time 25-26
Its not going to matter how many yards he promises offensive athletes until he promises an all you can eat hog bar with extra protein shakes to a full line of bulls. If we are going to compete, dropping all this NIL money on offensive athletes will be pretty meaningless if they staring at the turf a...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
So much misunderstanding here. Developing someone doesn't mean you make them the flipping starter unless they are ready. What it means is you keep giving them some reps in practice to......Develop them! Sweet Buddha. Everything is so black and white for some of yall.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
DLo stated he should have helped him with development. He did not say he was better than AJ or JJ. And now we'll never know if he could have been. NIL money talks. Let's roll this back. I am a new head coach. My QB room consists of AJ, JJ, G, and Wilson. 3 pocket passers and one RPO guy. One of my ...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Some of yall are crazy. How can you question a coach’s talent evaluation when you look at results? App played literally the same team twice, once with starters and once with mostly 3-4th string guys. The starters lost by 2, the backups lost by 19. Wilson and a couple other players showed some flash...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
What are y'all talking about? You gotta take off the gold glasses for a second. Armanti DEVELOPED into a great passer. Look at his completion percentage rise throughout his 4 years. Look at the drop in interceptions. Look at the rise in attempts with that completion percentage. Armanti was not a gre...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I love how the arm chair QBs are judging Wilson's abilities and saying he can't do it after seeing him play on a depleted team against a non depleted team. This is like any other sport. You have absolutely no idea what that young man would have e done with full first team reps and off-season reps. Y...

Re: Portal time 25-26
Do...the basketball side of the ncaa has now allowed a drafted player to come back to college because he never really played in the NBA. Does this mean we can open the Canadian portal now?

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Im just gonna say. Where the F has Wilson been. With our QB struggles its insane we didn't give this guy some snaps. If he was running the practice squad then the coaching staff knew he could do this and didn't even try it in games. I think what this shows is that money talks more than talent. The o...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Nothing like a bad bowl game to bring out the best in our fan base. Don't look too much in to this bowl game. This is a tryout for next years team. You will probably see both QBs throughout the game. DL knows how depleted this team is. The arm chair QBs are out in perfect post season form on here.
