LR grad/Regionally local guy gets a ring

Justin Dean played at LR and now has a ring with the Dodgers. Saved the game too. He's from Mauldin SC. Some good players have come out of the Carolinas in recent years. I do wish we could get our program to a higher level. Congrats to LR though. Nice recruiting tool for years to come.

Re: Hickory MBB

I'd be fine playing at CVCC even though its roughly 1k fewer bleacher seats. Is that little bit more of ticket sales for 1 game really going to make that much of a difference? LR is a competitor for students and they are making smart moves. NC State just push the plan to allow CC students with 3.0+ ...

Re: NBA G-League players going back to college

I saw that. That's the dumbest move they've ever made. Worse than anything. That's letting pro players play again. So jow you come out of high school and go G league and then after a couple years go to college at 21 and get NIL money and hope you get an nba shot at 23 or 24. Such a joke. Take this s...

Re: East Tower

That would be incredible if we could bowl in the entire thing like that rendering. I would love for us to one day have a 50k seat stadium. I think thay would be about perfect for our long term needs. We don't need a 60k+ but we will eventually need more than what we have.

Im I pressed that they followed through with a serious punishment showing they are going tontruly hold accountability.

Im also impressed how under wraps they kept the whole thing until the actual announcement.

Re: Cincinnati

I wouldn't get too high on the horse yet about cincy. They haven't played a tough schedule and Iowa state isn't what they appeared to be. I see 3 to 4 losses in the second half of the season.

Re: Curt Cignetti teams....

Id honestly be surprised if he jumps. Just signed an 8 year contract through 2032. Current year is 8 mil. 72 mil total. He can sit in the big 10 and deal with Ohio state each year or go to the cess pool sec for a couple more mil.
I also wouldn't underestimate Indiana money.

Re: GA St discussion

I love the coaches decision to let Lewis get over half the carries in a game like this. Great confidence builder foe the freshman and gives Dubs a needed break. I still see Swan as the better passer and if i had to grade them on pure QB talent then sure, I think I'd still put Swann ahead.....but in ...

Re: Prove Me Wrong - App Football Season - Positive Vibes

Woulda coulda shoulda....... None of it matters. None. We are 0-1 in the area that matters the most. From 1991 with JMs first to 2019 our last we won 14 conference championships. That's 14/28 seasons. 50%...... We haven't touched one since...... I will continue to beat this drum. Win the conference....

Re: Where is NewApp, aka JCline?

I did some digging and unfortunately he passed away on May 2 of this year. He and I didn’t agree most of the time, but he was a good man. Sending up a prayer for his family. He loved dropping celebrity obituary threads including his very last thread about George Foreman. Its probably fitting that h...
