Re: QB1 battle?
Maybe I am wrong, if the coach has not communicated to the players on the current team who the leader in the clubhouse is ...would they really be telling recruits? That stuff gets back up the mountain as recruits come back up to campus. Seems it would be a big risk in losing trust with players on t...

Re: QB1 battle?
1. Shows how much Clark’s talent evaluation of Non-OL was valued by other coaches that he was not taken seriously and no other coach supported him. 2. When your biggest recruiting get is a guy who beat you 3 times, that’s not a gotcha. 3. Yosef10, you hit the nail on the head. The fanbase that hate...

Re: QB1 battle?
Clark lobbied hard to get McCall. Drink decided to go with a guy that was on the other side of the country that by all accounts he had no previous relationship with. This was the first of two colossal misses at the QB position for Drink. McCall likely didn’t commit because Satt had Conley rated high...

Re: Texas State "heavy favorite" to join Pac-12, LaTech favored to join Sun Belt
When I wake up on GameDay, none of the 3 get me excited about going to see the opponent. Although there is pressure to do something, patience may be best course of action. Who knows, something may come our way that is intriguing to App. St. versus adding to the conference. Although I like our confe...

Re: Preseason Projections
I think we’ll run more variations of the 3-3-5 than most want but that will require someone to step up in that Hybrid Safety/Linebacker role that isn’t afraid to tackle. Cole was afraid to commit and tackle like Jackson did in 2023, so it didn’t work effectively. His inability to grasp the role lef...

Re: Preseason Projections
Injuries are going to play a big part of any season but especially so this year as we transition from a 3-4 to a 4-3. I like what DJ is saying but the guys up front have to stay healthy. This is not a shot to DJ but I try to ignore what coaches say in the off-season because injuries, personnel perf...

Re: QB1 battle?
I know hindsight is 20/20 but, I could easily see in the first few series of Burger vs same for Aguilar that Joey was obviously better. Keep in mind it was against inferior competition, Gardner Webb, and anybody we believed would have been the starter (and 1st or 2nd backup) should have been able t...

Not to split hairs on this but what has been stated above isn’t true. Ryan sustained a spiral fracture that did not break the skin. He was taken to the NEZ for x-rays and to stabilize the injury. He had surgery the following morning at the hospital. While there may have been blood on the bandage, i...

Re: QB1 battle?
Another point on player competition, sometimes it comes down to being in the right place at the right time. We have seen it SO many times, especially in the pros, where a good starter goes down and the backup picks up and delivers in the moment, history made. Most coaches are going to analyze and g...

Re: Staff Reductions Coming To ADs
We will just have to disagree on that one. Honestly, what is there to disagree with? My post was not an opinion; it is a fact. The Supreme Court is tasked with interpreting the law for our country, when they say something is unlawful (broken) then it is. You can disagree with the ruling, but it is ...

I should clarify that it is illegal in the state of NC for unions to enter into collective bargaining negotiations. https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&sca_esv=97d2e28a3f4a1e73&hl=en-us&cs=0&q=North+Carolina+General+Statute+%C2%A7+95-98&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiSvqf7pKuOAxU_L1kFHVAFGZ0QxccNegQIHRAB&...

A bet either way seems risky give the turnover to the roster and coaching.
