Re: SEC and "vaccination motivation"

I’m looking to find common ground. Sounds like we can agree at a certain age the risk of disease doesn’t warrant a vaccine. Where we differ is where is that cut off. People under 25 without pre-existing conditions are very low risk. I think we can agree there as well. Some believe in and consistent...

Re: Big Attendance for ECU game

I think it depends on who you ask. “Hoist the Colours” reported that ECU has sold through their initial allotment and has asked for more. I have no reason to not believe Steve. If you go to Ticketmaster, find the game and unfiltered the tickets for resale, it looks promising. Would be interested to...

Re: 17 Mountaineers on PFF's All Conference Team

a lot of talk about our OL this year, but we have a 1st team OT and G....and lots more talent spread across this team "App State Football has six first-team picks and 17 overall selections on the preseason All-Sun teams from PFF College, which evaluates players with film-based grades. The Mountaine...

Re: ECU website preview of Appalachian

It’s pretty short-sighted to say ECU’s problems came about simply from joining the AAC. The vast majority of the programs currently in the AAC were members of CUSA when ECU won the league back to back in 08 and 09. ECU fell victim to a bad AD hire and subsequent head coach firing and hiring. Every s...

$10,000 per hour appearance fee. This is quickly getting out of hand.

If someone in the market will pay this, why is it out of hand?

Re: 2021 depth

Checking his Twitter he seems pretty confident in himself. Clemson had a kid tear his ACL in spring ball and was back for week 1, it’s not the 12 month recovery time it once was. And PS you don’t have to go checking with ASM before commenting ;)

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but this seems a little half-assed compared to others I’ve seen. Seems like App is just saying “hey we’re on TV and will take pictures”? Am i wrong?

Re: Starting tomorrow, NCAA athletes can make money from endorsements

Just from my own Twitter feed I’ve noted that both ULL and UNCC are marketing a very organized and helpful support system for their athletes regarding NIL. DG and Clark needs to get on this yesterday. It’s the right thing to do to assist our student athletes and it’s obviously a major recruiting to...

It'll be closer than 2 TDs
I tend to agree. Think 3 possibilities, close App win, close ECU win, or an App blowout. If Brice is up to par i do lean toward the latter though.

Also on the RB depth, not sure Daetrich is as sold as some on the outside about him not playing this year.

Re: G5 Preseason Top 25

If we get good offensive line play Chase won’t have to play out of his mind. With the running backs we can shuffle in and out I believe Chase could theoretically throw 20 passes a game, mostly short to mid range and those studs will do the rest of the work. Unless he’s a dud I simply don’t see much...

Re: 12 team playoff? All P5 conference champs to be in, 1 G5 Champ, six at large

They do fit the bill, but it would require them to either significantly increase the seating in the FargoDome, currently at 19k, or build a new facility. If i have this wrong then pardon me, but aren’t you “expense and budget” guy? How can an FCS school in North Dakota handle the jump from FCS to t...

AAC dark horse may be NDSU. They have not wanted to move up previously due to the belief that you can’t win a Natty as a G5, which was/is true. They are arguably a state flagship, carry a strong brand and actually bring good basketball, reaching the tourney 4x since 2009. Fargo is certainly no Hous...

At the least the university needs to rent out a sizable lot just so everyone can gather in one place rather than spread out all over uptown Charlotte.

Re: 12 team playoff? All P5 conference champs to be in, 1 G5 Champ, six at large

Of course we have a path, and a pretty darn good one. Coastal and Cincinnati would’ve gotten in last year if the proposed 12-teamer were in place. Reminds me of the old joke about two people being chased by a bear. Said one to the other, “I don’t have to outrun the bear. I just have to outrun you.”...
