The Furman game is still a ways out. Relax folks.

Re: Remove the Track
I'm not in favor of that proposed expansion plan, and I hope it is just a draft. The idea of a tiny third deck is just silly to me. It puts considerable distance between the fans and field. Like I said earlier, it needs to be done right next time. The endzone addition is not bad, I'll admit.

Re: Remove the Track
CURSE YOU, TRACK! YOU'RE THE REASON WE DIDN'T WIN THE SOCON LAST YEAR! Husky Stadium at Washington is going through the same type of renovation. Check these financial stats. http://www.huskystadium.com/renovation-information/project-overview/financial-plan Raise 200 million bucks and it's as good a...

Re: Remove the Track
What irritates me some, is that we did not expand "properly" the first time. I am in favor of doing it right the first time, or hold off until you can. I think we should have held off on expanding the stadium as much as we did until we could find a new home for the track. At the time of the new fiel...

Re: Wofford, Samford, Ga Southern
I'm hoping for a 2-1 record through those games. I believe we can beat Samford on the road, and get the win vs Wofford at home. GA Southern on the road will be our toughest game I think.

Let's try out the Youtube feature on this board:
Success! I still think the youtube feature is too hard though. On a board I used to post on, modifying the link wasn't necessary. You would just post the link in between the youtube tags.

TO: ASU-FTW I am an original MMB member and I am now over here reading and posting. I continue to learn new things every day, I was simply referring to not being able to easily discern what post another post was in reply to by the wording used in the latter post. No worries, and no offense meant. I...

Re: Seats
Does Appalachian not have a ticket exchange website? if not, we desperately need one IMO. It would save a lot of folks from having to sit on the hill. It just doesn't make sense when I see a packed hill in addition to glaring silver in the stands.

I'd rather not imitate Western in any way. Next thing we know we'll start winning 1 game a year and trying to find the silver lining in blowout losses.

Re: Why did we attempt the FG?
Think back to the App/Wofford Halloween game. Coach Ayers kept calling useless timeouts near the end of the game when we were blowing them out. So, as an "Eff you", we threw a TD pass to run it up on them. Basically the same thought process was at work here. I personally wish we threw a pass to the ...

Re: Jason Swepson: Crybaby
“At points it felt like we were playing two teams out there with App State and the officiating. That’s something that I’ve got to get straight and look at the film and turn some plays in and try to get an even-called football game.” Elon head coach Jason Swepson All I read from that was "Wahhh wahh...

Maybe all of the Delphi posters are so stuck in their ways they won't learn anything new. Stuck in the Stone Age and unable to learn a more modern message board format.

Re: Seats
I've been saying this since the Citadel game. No need to worry about expanding if we can't fill the seats in the stands. I just don't understand why so many choose to sit on the hill if there are seats available. The hill folk could easily fill the empties.

Re: Burlington Times-News article 10/6
That's a pretty good article. I take it as a compliment that Elon focuses on us so much. In general, when other teams / programs list you as a "rival" it is their acknowledgement of respect. I do find it very interesting that the article says they they will be playing "a more conventional" offense ...

Leaving Games Early
Not sure how many of you are "fans" of Appalachian State football on Facebook, but they just recently made a status telling the students to stay for the whole game. Even if it doesn't do any good at all, I'm still glad that the issue is being addressed. It really irritates me when I see people (stud...

Re: App-Elon article from Enemy POV
Funny how the article blames unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for the loss last year. Those are easy to eliminate. Also hard to believe the players would admit minutes after getting butt-kicked by Wofford that they were already thinking about the App game. Time to send them home shaking their head...

Re: Did I miss the attendance thread?
Attendance over the past year and a half seems to be on the down swing overall. I know there are a few exceptions, like Montana, however there seems to be a bunch of seats and parking places unfilled every week. The atmosphere today honestly, and I don't care if I get labeled a complainer, sucked. ...

Thanks for the hard work!
Everyone needs to calm their "I'm leaving this board!" claims. This board is a work in progress, and to be honest, it is the only forum out there with enough traffic to support ASU discussion. The members will build back over time.
