Re: The UNCC Game Thread

The only consolation in my mind on the soppiness of the 1st half is that we have left 10 points on field that we should have had, so if we clean things up we should win this game.

Re: Official Concord Commuter prediction thread

They get up on us early and then our defense shuts them out the 2nd half.

Re: game day broadcast crew

Yeah I don't think anyone is being mean to Pierre, certainly not me, I've just listened to some other game broadcasts of other college teams and some just have a higher level of professional talent. Again I love our gameday crew, they do a great job and I love that they have strong personal ties to ...

Re: game day broadcast crew

I love Pierre's love for APP but, I majored in Broadcasting and spent some time working for some of NC's TV stations and my opinion is this, Pierre makes a great side line commentator and he is good with his weekly updates but as a on air color analysts, he doesn't have the polish that the job requi...

Re: Favorite App Football (non-game) Memory

I was a camera man for the football team video staff my last two years of undergrad. Now-a-days they have a staff of 15-20 and top of the line, professional equipment. Back then it was just a handful of us working with Jake. I was filming from a paint-covered scissor lift with a Sony Handicam every...

Re: App/CLT part 3

I'm just wondering how tickets are going to be mailed out before SEPT 12, while simultaneously waiting for Gov Coopers answer on lifting or not lifting restrictions on SEPT 11th?

Re: AP Preseason Poll is out

This is exactly the counter point that we are trying to make its about "Optics", regardless of the circumstances if we finish high in the polls this year its a building block and a feather in the cap for recruiters, in short an opportunity. You tell all those young men on our team that have express...

Re: AP Preseason Poll is out

and it's weird. Voters were allowed to rank Big 10 and other schools in the preseason poll, but the next poll, they will not be allowed to be included. So we're 32, and need 7 teams out to make the Top 25 ...and there are more than 7 teams ahead of us who will not be in the next poll. Now add in th...

Re: Schedule

I was at APP '91-'95 and playing Marshall was some of our biggest games. I remember being on the sideline 15 feet away from Randy Moss, ours corners gave him what felt like a 20 yard cushion of space and he still torched us. One year Marshall was ranked #1 in FCS and they played in KBS. We won and K...

I'll be happy if we get any games in this year but if I had my say so, I'd rather play UNCC twice this year than play GW or LR.

Re: P5 and the NCAA: These are the Days of Our Lives

I know in the past few years a couple of the P5 conferences have floated the idea of only scheduling P5 games with no "cupcake" G5 and FCS games. Many thought this model could not work. Now with COVID the door is open for them to test this model out and I fear that they'll get it to work and teams l...

Re: Yosef Email re: COVID seating

Thanks makes sense Gonzo, the only reasoning that I could think that season ticket sales have been shut off is due to not having a firm seating plan yet, or just not knowing if any games will definitely need to be refunded or optioned out for points. It sounds like they are trying real hard to make ...

Re: Yosef Email re: COVID seating

I don't remember what our Yosef club numbers are as far as tickets, I'm sure someone on here does, but last I remember it wasn't a lot, like 3k? I could be wrong. But 3K Yosef club plus the usual 10k for students and that comes out around %50 capacity.

Re: Yosef Email re: COVID seating

This is definitely encouraging and I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but this letter does give us some insight of what is going on behind the scenes. We see that many scenarios are in the mix and one thing that I did find interesting is that they are actively seeking fill ins for the 2 current canc...

Re: FALL 21 QB?

I went back and watched DBG's senior high lights and he does have talent. He snaps his wrist when throwing the ball a lot like Cam Newton, although sometimes he throws off balance and his form is just ok. It has been awhile since we had a physical type QB. ZT was surprisingly quick on his feet and I...

why the multicolored App State??
Because it looks fantastic!!!!
It looks tacky.
You can't make everyone happy. I think it looks good and I knew they would use the font we had back at the NO Bowl. I like that it shows what the final shape of the track will look like too.

Re: Darrynton Evans - Declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft

Its so hard comparing different players from different eras running different schemes. I didn't see Settle play, Kevin Richardson was my favorite all around back and fit perfectly for the spread option we were running at the time. Evans to me looks faster once he has open field, I could see the NFL ...

Re: New Orleans bowl experience

This was me and my wife's first experience with New Orleans and the NOLA Bowl, we loved every bit of it, the night life, the food, the culture. The crowd had lots of energy and the outcome of the game was perfect. I only have one thing that I can critique and part of it was my fault: The tailgate -a...
