Few things are sweeter than beating Marshall on national TV. My wife was born in Huntington but grew up in Winston-Salem. She has a family full of loud and proud MU alums in WV and OH. We're looking for some payback for some of those blowout MU wins during the Cantwell years. As George's/Ringo's so...

Re: Cabral to WVU (Eric McDaniel is replacement)
After the utter thrashing the Trojans DL laid on us last season, I doubt we’ll hear many complaints about McDaniel joining Clark’s staff. Re: McDaniel making a lateral career move, I have to imagine: 1. Coming back to Boone 2. Rejoining a competitive team ( rebuild ) 3. Not living in Troy, AL anymo...

Kerns was rather directly responsible for blowing the lead by giving the Duke Dawgs extra tics of the clock and at least four points they would never have scored otherwise. Not sure what the h*** he was trying to accomplish. Playing with fire isn't cool.

Rumors on other coaching losses, or is Watts the the only one? The 2024 AFCA Convention and Exhibit Hall will be at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Ctr in Nashville, Tennessee from January 7-10, 2024. The AFCA Exhibit Hall is a great way for companies to showcase their state-of-the-art foo...

Re: App vs Asheville in Hickory
Might not be the best look, but I understand why we’re playing there. With the new Hickory campus and a decent alumni contingent in HKY, we’re likely trying to build some following for the team. Missed opportunity! A joke of a game on App's part! That embarrassment will be hard to live down. Now we...

Re: RIP David Abernathy
David passed on Friday after a lengthy illness. Per his wife he "was tired and wanted them to let him go." It's getting harder and harder to accept that we're not 10' tall and bullet proof any more. David was a kicker for the Apps in the mid-70s. He along with Joe Parker and Gary Davis gave us a fo...

Re: @ Queens 12/13 in Charlotte
We are 0-2 in true road games. Just saying we haven't beaten an opponent on their home floor. Not predicting a loss but just adding that caveat. Killjoy. 🤣 Sorry, it comes from following App basketball since 1969. Not accustomed to prosperity. Like you, Jerry, I've also been down this road a time o...

Re: Fort Myers Tip Off
It was a quality win, no doubt but App State has had a basketball program for over a century. I've been a dyed-in-the-wool fan for 60 years--plus. I wouldn't single this one out as the best ever. No way!appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 1:52 pmWas that the best half against a solid team we've ever had?

Re: App Defender Named SBC DEF POW
Congrats to Ethan. It was a well earned honor. Crazy how few POW we have had this year. To think that Joey leads the conference in TDs and has yet to be a POW. Only other App POTW this season was Staton when he kicked the game-winner at ULM. Michael Hughes thinks he kicked that one. ;) 4th 00:00 AP...

Re: 2023 Women's Basketball Mega Thread
Back to the early 23-24 season... Our women's BB team traveled to Norfolk State for an OOC contest last night. The Apps started strong and made it an 18-18 draw after the first quarter. Unfortunately, winning chances for the "good gals" grew more and more unlikely as the game rolled along. The Apps ...
