Re: Trivia:
David Caldwell, our shootout and discus thrower, was a little wild in the ring but he would knock opponents out of the ring during that tournament. Then we’d throw them back in. Great times.

Pounding the run game pays dividends in a lot of ways later in the game. Maybe we haven’t done it enough. Opposite thoughts of most.

Our QB should have used the audible on that 4th down if he saw the middle was stacked.

I don’t know. But I did watch running back Emmett Hamilton put a beating on some poor soul from Lees-McRae in the TKE boxing tournament in BKG back in the 70s. Now that was a great event. Wayne Clawson - the referee in the ring.

Re: Keep Joey 2024 - NIL
Do you believe a certain percentage (though probably small) of college players transfer to get out of the game? They realize they do not enjoy the rigors of college football, not getting any NIL dollars, maybe don’t like college at all, and DO NOT want to go in and tell the coach they want out. They...

Re: Keep Joey 2024 - NIL
The price of players will no doubt continue to escalate just like coaches salaries. When will it stop? It’ll take more and more dollars in the football arms race as time passes. I won’t give to this when there are good charities and hard-working people everywhere that need help. There are worthy cau...

Not fond of Bruce Pearl. Something about him seems fake to me. I attended some of his practices when he was at Tennessee. Very arrogant.

Re: Keep Joey 2024 - NIL
True. The NFL teams will find you if you are good enough. It’s always been that way, even before the combines. Nine of the eleven members of the Steel Curtain played for small “lower division” schools. Four are in the HOF and others were nominated. They were found in the days when communication of i...

Good coaches make adjustments - as did our coaches. Not everybody has a job where there is a public scoreboard for all to see. People should be thankful that all of their screwups on the job are not broadcast on a public scoreboard. How would you like a job where the general public thinks they know ...

Probably got slammed too many times in the squared circle and it seems to have rattled his brain loose. So he goes to the TV and the mike for easier money. Kind of guy that’ll drive a car at high speed into a bridge support.
