Rivers Street Deck This will be my first game this season. I’ve wondered, with Holmes offline, surely Rivers Street Deck can’t handle a 7k+ crowd can it? Maybe JET, but it doesn’t park many. I’m sure there will be plenty of parking, but where else besides RSD? Sorry, I was speaking of the JMU game ...

Re: Saw this happening ---
Believe it or not - and I am sure most don't believe it - but there were a couple of us who actually seriously discussed this East Championship happening. We did it in private conversations to stay away from the losers who gave up on this team and coaches months ago. Those of you who discussed this...

Re: September 1, 2007
I was in Austin, TX last week. When I checked in to my hotel, the concierge pointed to my shirt, and said “I was 7 years old, and I was there.”. I replied, “In Boone?”. He said “No, at the Michigan game in’07!”. Turns out he is a young Mich. grad. He said they still haven’t recovered, then mentioned...

Re: Here we go again...Looks like the OC is out
Just getting back to this. I was perusing ponces twitter. 1. He has liked a couple app posts recently. Which honestly could be nothing given his relationship with current coaches and players. 2. We know he is still recruiting with cristobal. At least as of the 13th. FWIW… His Wikipedia page begins ...

When’s the last time we started 3-0? 1997-98, although the first two of those were sub-D1 teams. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/appalachian-state/1998-schedule.html In 78-79, App won its first five, the previous only time App won more than two in a row to start the season. https://www...

Re: Kirk Herbstreit Cupcake Comment
This is a reward for our history of success in big time games (starting in ‘07). It’s also just as much of an opportunity to showcase our program as those games have been. The groping allegation toward Miami, the spitting incident at the Wake game, and most recently the post game crowd “interaction”...

Re: College Game Day Is Coming To BOONE!
My freshman daughter just sent me a screen shot of a message she got from AD. It is on Sanford, and fans can begin arriving at 5:00 a.m.!!! 😳 Doesn’t say what time the lots open specifically. Now imagine 10k students getting started 10.5 hours prior to kickoff!!! 😑 lol My bad… The screenshot was fr...

Re: Football Parking 2022
So. That's the question I have. I got Legends. Legends is not new. If you gave at Legends level maybe someone who gave more got moved so you can get your pass. Another major challenge at Legends is getting students to move their cars out of the lot prior to games. Last year, there was towing going ...

Re: SYC
My girl is an incoming freshman. We had full intentions of signing her up on move-in day (had no idea she could join beforehand). When she got the email about student ticket allotment, we went to the website and signed her right up for the 4 year plan! That’s been about 3 weeks ago, and at the time ...

Re: Football Parking 2022
I hate to think this way, but I've just got a feeling that come April, 2023 this issue will have worked itself out. I'm thinking a lot of these new Yosef members (including SYC) won't renew next year because there won't be a $150, overly demanded ticket on the schedule. They weren't giving before, ...

Re: UNC Game
they could charge 2 bills for the UNC game and still sell out so maybe that still applies. Oh the game will sell out, no question. I just question the precedent going forward. ECU in 2023 will certainly be $150. But after that, there's no game you could logically charge that much for until UofSC, i...

Re: Sun Belt Men's Soccer
You have to add in Title IX stuff as well. In order to bring back men's soccer, we would have to start a new women's program. That is not cheap. The only women's program I can think of we could "cheaply" add is lacrosse as they could share the soccer and/or field hockey fields (assuming they are ri...
