Re: Other Games Week 3
The higher education landscape is changing as birthrates began to decline at pace starting in 2008 coupled with the cost of higher education. If the influx of foreign nationals also declines the percentages that pay "full tuition" will decline as well. We're likely to see more of this in the next de...

Re: A positive note
Tiger, we have enough talent to be a bowl team, but I'm not convinced we have the talent to compete with the top 3-4 SBC teams, but perhaps we're saying the same thing. I'm concerned about our depth at oline, secondary, and RB as well. I do agree the coaching and game planning that is occurring is a...

Re: Things to do in/around Boise
We will be in Utah starting this Thursday. This is our big vacation this year so to speak We are doing Zion, Bryce Canyon and Arches. We roll into Boise the following Thursday night. By that Friday in Boise, I may want to be in a vegetative state to get ready for Saturday. However, we signed up for...

Heavy passing in the redzone could be some NFL gameplan creeping in.

Re: So Miss discussion
My two cents....The offense looked tired in the first half, mainly because they were on the field the whole half. I think the coach could have used a few timeouts in the first half to rest a tired offensive line. Second, I think our coach is good and will get it done. Third, Said coach did not do a...

Do we need a game manager style QB if we can get the oline healthy?

Re: So Miss discussion
I’m much more concerned about the fans that don’t give to the Yosef Club than those that don’t travel to a college town in Mississippi.
Most fans have the time to attend maybe one away game and it sure isn’t going to be Southern Miss.

I would wager App is in the top half if not top quartile in spending on football.

Re: So Miss discussion
That USM defense isn’t close to what we show at Marshall last year. They are a bowl team, but I don’t think they finish in the top two of the west.

Re: So Miss discussion
I disagree that we have the talent to compete in the SBC this year. If we make a bowl game I will be surprised. The oline is average and no depth, secondary is below average, never seen so many drops from WRs in any three game stretch, and this is the weakest QB we’ve had since joining the FBS. We c...

Re: So Miss discussion
I’m baffled by you guys who simply throw out the blanket excuse of us not paying enough money. I’ve got a news flash for you. For an incredibly huge percentage of fans it’s not that important. So the sure fire way to get us to what, 9-3 and the Camden Bowl is to magically uncover $20m more in stupi...

Re: So Miss discussion
Remember when we wouldn’t stand for this a year ago?! The irony is Staggering To be fair, the cabinet was left completely bare. And we don’t have the money to buy an o-line because our fans are cheap as hell I wouldn’t call people who refuse to donate money to a college athlete cheap. Call them sma...

Re: So Miss discussion
All of our goals are in front of us. Please continue to accept mediocrity while we raise ticket prices, beg to be compared to the top 5 G5’s, and deliver a D- gameday experience by putting off-brand bandaids on problems. Remember when we wouldn’t stand for this a year ago?! The irony is Staggering ...

Re: So Miss discussion
Looks like it’s players. WRs are open and either the QB passes behind them or they drop it.
We run the ball fairly well. Run defense is pretty good, secondary is suspect on medium to deep balls, that was true last year as well.

Re: So Miss discussion
We didn’t need Armanti tonight we needed a QB that understands the value of throwing the ball away vs forcing it. USM isn’t a SBC contender.
