We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

With no action on the hardwood this week for the black and gold, the Mountaineers have had 7 full days to let the loss to last place Citadel sink in. Despite blowing a perfect opportunity to ...

Re: Baseball vs. High Point - Game Thread
Really nice come from behind win today for the Apps. I was planning all day to do in-game updates for the game today until my phone broke completely and had to switch to a phone without internet capability. It messed my day up, but I made sure I didn't miss the game. ALso, in-game updates will proba...

Re: Jason Capel... should he stay or should he go?
Completely being a word I will not say on here but 16, 13, and 12 adds up to 32? I get your point and you have to look at appgrouch's points, too. Can't give those points and say there isn't much of a difference. There is a difference, a big difference that IMO is Capel's biggest problem. Experience...

Re: Appalachian @ NC State - Roll Call
I would love to make it and see how our guys do against Rodon today and the rest of the Wolfpack all weekend. He is good but I don't know if I'm ready to say he's a lock for the 1st pick overall. 1st round? Yes. There's still a lot of time between now and next June.

Marketing does need to improve for basketball. Everyone on campus knows when there is a football game at home. It's seen everywhere on campus at least one week prior and everyone knows about it. There is an e-mail sent out almost every day mentioning it in some way. What does basketball get? A singl...

Re: Expectations from here on out
My expecation is 5-1 with a slip up somewhere (most likely Elon), which would finish 11-7 in conference, but I wouldn't be susprised to see us finish 4-2. Of course I want us to go 6-0 but I think Elon will be too tough of a task. I think if we went 4-2 (10-8) that would be good enough to get the 4t...

Expectations from here on out
With 6 games left in the regular season, 4 of which are at home where we are 7-3 (4-1 in conference), what do you guys think this team will do? All 6 left are winnable, but it will be interesting to see what actually happens. 2/11 vs. Furman 2/14 @ Elon 2/17 @ UNCG 2/20 vs. The Citadel 2/28 vs. Samf...

Re: Davidson Game
We have individual talent, but we don't play team basketball. In our starting five, we have four guys (Neal, Hamilton, Canty, Healy) who can make a shot if given a little space to score, but I don't think we do a very good job of getting our guys in the position to score.

Re: Appalachian @ Georgia Southern - Game Thread
I do love that this team never quits. Another solid game for Healy. 24 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks. 48 points in his last two games after being held to 5 at Charleston.

I'll be there my Dad. I would encourage as many to go if they can. Belk Arena is a very good place to watch a game, atmosphere and everything, and I'm hoping we can continue our good play down there.

Re: Western Game
All were winnable games, but the big thing is we didn't. Who knows, if all of those games are at home, we may win them all. I do like that this team has been competitive on the road, with the 2nd half at Charleston being the exception, but we should win those games. Good teams win games on the road....

Re: Western Game
We've got to learn how to win on the road, hopefully we can steal one at GSU and/or UNCG because Davidson and Elon will be tough. The home/away split under Capel has been night and day. Capel's overall record: 38-45 (22-24 SoCon) Home record: 25-11 (15-8 SoCon) Road record: 13-34 (7-16 SoCon) The h...

Re: Post-Charleston
How much are guarantee games in basketball? I really don't know, but I figure that Kentucky probably pays somewhere around $50K. If we sign one more than usual, or a two year deal, it could be enough to partially finance a buyout. I just googled and ironically enough an article that featured Kentuc...
