Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
G5 programs will be a feeder system for P5 programs. Many of our better players will take the leap for cash. NIL and portal suck especially for programs like APP. I like it less than anybody, because it takes away what has helped build our successes. The players can't be blamed because of what the ...

Re: Two minute warning, helmet comm approved
Wouldn’t surprise me that the highly successful P5 teams have already been covertly communicating with electronics to players during games. Regarding the use of devices not being connected to other/larger ones: the NFHS has allowed that in the high schools for 10 years or more. My school had tablet...

Re: Another Portal Loss
This one hurts a lot. Time for Spellman to step up. And there lies the Catch 22. Say Spellman steps up and has a great year. Are we having this same conversation next year? It’s the world we live in. We are never going to have the money to compete with these P5s so I have fully expected it. I just ...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
1) Anyone know why Wright didn't make it, looks like that would be layup that he would be at least number #2? QB backup quality and 2) DL worries the crap out of me at the moment. 3) Back to my earlier thought, the success of our program should sell itself, I'm not gathering that we are having our ...

Re: September 7, 2024
They are still the best team on our schedule, and not one of their players considered playing at the G5 level unless they've paid some to move up. We are a considerable underdog in this one.

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
McHugh has entered portal. Going to maybe need another QB or promote Estep to Scholarship. Sorry to hear this. I had heard that he might have been the best passer on the roster but not as mobile. Hope he ends up somewhere that his skills fit the plan better. Our coaches have done several things rig...

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
Define : “ Succeed” Easy. Isaiah Helms, Bucky Williams, Jack Murphy, Damion Daley, Thornton Gentry. Sure he can land guys in the portal. But, we’re having to land guys in the portal because we haven’t developed many OL we’ve recruited out of high school. The lack of OL development has led to us tra...
