Re: Let's Go Ahead and Face It
The Fall season is now officially over. We can dream up scenarios, possible opponents, Spring football, etc to no end...but guys...it's no use. It's over. Just an opinion, but look at all who have dropped out...teams as well as whole conferences The spring will be an absolute disaster and really is...

Re: UMass opts out
All of this, I'm afraid, is just becoming too much of a logistical nightmare to overcome. The only "out" I see is if we are able to pair with the ACC/SEC, if they remain insistent, and tell each conference to begin pairing off with Belt teams for their non-conference and be done with it. It'd mean ...

Re: Ah - Drink finds he is not in Kansas (or Boone) anymore
The amount of pettiness shown toward a guy who went 12-1 and then was offered about 10x more than he was making here is just weird. Why don’t we try to not constantly look like the little brother? Who is being petty? It is fair to acknowledge the situation in Missouri is tougher than ours was. I do...

Re: Ah - Drink finds he is not in Kansas (or Boone) anymore
Missouri will never be top of even the SEC East. UGA, Florida, possibly Kentucky, and even Tennessee once they get their shit together will always dominate. Drink's future will depend on the expectation set forth by their A.D. If the A.D. is content with just making a bowl game, then Drink should b...

Re: Ah - Drink finds he is not in Kansas (or Boone) anymore
Mizzou was what, 6-6 last year? They’re not actually terrible. Sure he’ll take a few beatings, but there should be enough winnable games in there too. That was always going to be a rebuild. They definitely had more talent than their win total. Now, they lost just about all of their top players so i...

Re: Ah - Drink finds he is not in Kansas (or Boone) anymore
The man got a deal of a lifetime and he is at the bottom of the league. I hope he gets it done. He got a great contract and honestly because he has so much money it really does not matter if he wins or not. If he is smart with his money, which I figure he will be, he is set for life. He will make e...

Re: Ah - Drink finds he is not in Kansas (or Boone) anymore
Lots of people still butt hurt apparently. I don't think anyone is butt hurt or said he is a bad coach. We all think he is a good coach. He knows football and definitely knows how to say the right things and comes off as a politician in how he talks sometimes. We just don't know on recruiting or if...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
UCF did it. #WhyNotUs They are afraid of a loss in a year where wins are even more important for them OOC. Despite being a sellout for them and making more money they chose the easy win. They are gambling on being better than us down the road. If Wisconsin had the option but chose not to, definitel...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
Polls will be a joke this year if ball is played. Even the good P5’s aren’t playing their tough non-conference games. If we run the table and Wisconsin is just decent we can believe we might have knocked them off. Go unbeaten I’m considering us top 20! UCF did it. #WhyNotUs They are afraid of a los...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
About where I thought on a macro level. However, given The coaches listed at the bottom, way too low. Not enough respect!!! Satt, Lunsford, USA, CCU, Neal Brown, Will Healy, ULL We need to destroy teams this year! No question. As I said above, we can't just win but we have to win big. We need to be...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
Wear a mask and focus on going 1-0. The rest will sort itself out. Make sure to tell all these CFB players that statement. If they all test negative, we will have a season. If these kids keep going to parties and don't act responsible then we will not have a season, regardless of what you and I do....

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
Disappointing and actually surprising to me. Thought we'd be right around the edge of the top 25. Army finished 2018 ranked 19/20 and started last year with over 90 points in each poll; figured we'd at least get that level of respect considering we've been much more consistently good than they have...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
We go through this every year guys - polls are win and move up. If we somehow played the entire schedule and ran the table, we'd be top 20, easily. You are right in that we will move up but with our schedule we can't just win by 7-10 every week and move up 2-4 spots no matter what. It depends on ho...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
With most of the P5 only playing their own conference, and as a result most of the G5s not having any P5 games, I really wonder how much opportunity will exist for a G5 to rise up into the rankings. Pretty much have to hope they beat up on each other and we go undefeated. It will be interesting to ...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
Read further. We were also listed as one of five teams snubbed in this poll. Ranked way too low according to this. I agree. It feels good to see but Tennessee and Arizona State were the only two teams who I think have a really good case. The reason we are in that list is because we finished #18/#19...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
About what I expected. Unfortunately without any P5 teams we won’t be moving up. Good to see ULLLLLLLL on there as well. Agreed. I thought maybe we would be 28-32 range but not far below. With a coaching change and losing some key defenders it makes sense. I could see us staying the same or droppin...
