Re: Campbell Game Day Thread
It is what it is. 20 players down. I do not see this as embarrassing..I see excitement by players. Also, definitely giving young guys opportunity to play. Let's Go App. St.!!

Re: Stated goals
Although I do not believe going 13-1 every year is sustainable. That should be obvious if we continue to play P5 teams that are middle of their conference or higher. In addition, we will not go undefeated in conference each year as history has proven that. The short goals for this particular team fo...

I am going with this:
Camel meat is eaten in the Middle East and parts of Africa. It's no chicken, though. This is serious special-occasion food. The hump is the prized cut, offering the fattiest, most tender meat, according to the Syrian-Lebanese chef and author Anissa Helou

Re: Stated goals
My "stated goal"....To enjoy 6 Saturdays in BOONE at App Football games with friends. Bowl Games are a bonus weekend with said friends. I love our national exposure on weeknight games but I hope we stop playing them. IF we don't though, It will be alright. Always a grinning. 7 Saturdays...Annual Su...

Re: Stated goals
If we move to the AAC, folks on this Board will "jump off a cliff", when we have a few 8-4/9-3 seasons...LOL. I would take a few 8-4 seasons if it meant we could get that TV contract money for the athletic department. That goes a long way. What good is that TV contract money doing for ECU in the AA...

Re: Appalachian St at Marshall Game Thread
And the other teams we play just might get better? And they arent in a 3 year coaching rotation? And we missed 2 weeks of practice? It just might take a season or two to get refocused. Even the "experts" say - "3 coaches in 3 years, but they just plug in a new one and keep going" - sooner or later ...

Re: Stated goals
I look at this from a different perspective maybe. Based upon the team's performance over the past few years, our expectations and goals should increase. I do not believe this is delusional to expect a NY6 bowl game based upon our resume of going undefeated if we were to achieve an undefeated seaso...

Re: Stated goals
The coach has to say winning the Sun Belt is important but we all know the most important games last year were non-conf games- UNC and USC. All you have to do is look at the attendance of the Sun Belt championship game. We had more people in Columbia than we had at home for the SBC championship gam...

Re: One year ago--Sept. 21, 2019
I have told this before but here it is again. After the last play I turned around to the group of App fans behind me, and we had been having fun all game with the chants and such, and gave the guy a huge hug. I don't know who hugged whom to be honest. But, it lasted much too long for two strangers,...

Re: App #24 in AP Poll
This is why I always say the polls are a joke. We already see stupid votes every week and this year where many teams aren't playing we are seeing even more of them. Does anyone really think that UTSA is better than anyone in the SEC? Until the SEC plays one can argue a winless team should be not be...

Re: Coach Clark Post Game--Marshall
I hope we win out. AND I hope most, if not all, of the players take this "free" year to come back and we get to see them next year. A coaching transition takes time. I hope Coach Clark does well and is here for a long time.

Re: Coach Clark Post Game--Marshall
In my opinion, we should be able to best Campbell with a plain vanilla offense. Behind the scenes, we should be practicing some diversity in play calling in practice, including some option run ideas, fly runs, etc. if opponents are going to try to make us one dimensional as we got to have some sembl...

Re: 3 positives and 3 things to improve first App V Marshall
Some humor and some serious items Positive 1. LBs are better than planned. Although not as good as last year, better than expected even with missed assignments. 2. Hennigan is the real deal even with teams focusing on him. 3. Evans, TE, will have a meme for rest of his life...not michael jordan leve...

Re: Christan Horn?
Yep, we need a WR and fast. Virgil has track speed and can’t get open. Malik is a possession guy, and hennigan is our only guy that needs to be double covered right now. I felt like 2 or 3 passes to Malik were way off the mark and coach Clark calling out Virgil in the post game presser was uncalled...
