Re: 2024 Roster Updates

I'm sorry to see it didn't work out for McHugh. But based on the QB play observed during the TIGMA event, this isn't a surprise.

Re: Report Card - Dustin Kerns

...and still no news, which leads me to believe there isn't any. On to baseball. Immediately flipped the switch after the Wake debacle. Never looked back after the portal saga. ...and as soon as I made the comment, DK goes and signs a long-term contract. I imagine it took longer because they had to...

Re: 2024-25 Roster Breakdown & Wishlist

At least the social media posts from our basketball players spared us the bad grammar and messy sentence structure we've become accustomed to seeing.

Re: Report Card - Dustin Kerns

I actually use to think you were bright on this board, I am comparing Noah Hanson the Football leader to Donovan Gregory the basketball leader..... OMG I need to go back to South America - some of you get dumber as time and typing goes on. Read through the lines. Yes, thank you...I did enjoy my cof...

Re: Report Card - Dustin Kerns

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Remember last spring? Lots of drama and questions about DK and the squad. But who knew what actually went down? Very few, and they weren't talking.

A similar scenario is unfolding this season. Lots of questions and few answers.

Re: Report Card - Dustin Kerns

SO...is it safe to say App State Men's Basketball progressed or regressed under DK's leadership? Sometimes it makes sense to ignore diatribe/conjecture and examine objective metrics like: - Wins/losses - Home winning streaks - Home game attendance - Championships - Tournament bids The numbers don't ...

Report Card - Dustin Kerns

I thought it would be a worthwhile exercise to do a "report card" on Coach Kerns during his tenure at App. My intent here isn't to pursue a narrative or be intentionally positive/negative. Just an opportunity for us to discuss where we stand, so please feel free to add to this list. Positives - Has ...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)

During a recent career conversation with a mentor, she commented that

“The grass isn’t green here, there or anywhere. It’s all just shades of brown.”

Her comment is applicable to college sports as well.

Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?

Kerns continuing to recruit doesn’t necessarily mean he’s staying on the mountain. As a coach, Kerns’ primary objective is landing recruits who are a good fit for his system. He has to lock in the best talent now, regardless of where he’ll be coaching. If the kids buy in, it’s likely they’ll be play...

FWIW, I just saw on X, Coach Kerns has offered some JUCO kids.

GO APPS!!
One of them played at Stink...ew.
Worry not, with modern chemistry there are cleaning compounds strong enough cleanse even that stench off people.
Yes, Apps football TP recruits from GASO are proof-of-concept here.

Re: Wey Hall saga

I had all my classes in Wey and I loved that place, but it was a dump. It was long overdue a renovation and honestly probably needs to be demolished. I get her frustration but I'm not really sure what the solution would be. You can't stop offering classes because the building is under construction ...

Re: Wey Hall saga

Watched the video, and I totally feel sympathy and think that this is a huge oversight by the administration and the construction crews. However, when she said something about not having A/C I couldn't help but chuckle. Sanford has never had A/C. Am I entitled to compensation from the roughly 43 En...

A three run fourth pulls the good guys to within one at 7-6 going into the top of the fifth.

Re: College Football

So, what have we learned from this conversation? Should we invest our nickels & dimes in TIGMA/3333? Or spend them on lottery tickets so maybe one of us hits big and the university will benefit? I'll be thinking about this today.

Can we storm the court after we beat them?
Yes. As long as no one runs into Abson and blows his knee out. Or Donovan. Or anyone else.

That sort of thing has been known to happen at LJVM.
