Re: Official Concord Commuter prediction thread
I feel like with all that is going on and how schedules changes that this won't be a predictable score. My initial guess if things were normal was going to be App 38 Charlotte 21. However, with no fans and the rain I am fearing a sloppy game by both teams with us winning a much closer game. Somethin...

Re: DBG
Shuler has already passed DBG on the depth chart. I wouldn't think DBG plays a game in the black and gold. I expect him to transfer somewhere closer to home in california. Why wouldn't Drink want him at Missouri? As much as he talked him up I would think he would want him and I don't see a P5 out o...

Re: DBG
Compton. I remember Drink making a big deal out of recruiting and signing him. Played at IMG. He did indeed. I know many accuse Drink, and I have said so as well, of being a politician and saying what he thinks you want to hear instead of what is really true. So with that said my question is does D...

Re: DBG
It sounds like there are other things with DBG. I don't think he fit in with us exactly and I expect him to enter portal before December and play elsewhere.

Re: Depth Chart
Just checking in! Looking forward to Saturday! Am firing up a tailgate in my front yard since I can’t roll up to Boone. Win or lose I’m just glad we are playing. Read about eligibility talk in the thread. Assuming it is like the spring athletes the schools are given the option to allow athletes to ...

Re: Why don’t we just play Western Carolina as our FCS game every year?
Find a FCS team say Kennesaw State that plays the Triple option and always play them a few weeks before the GS game. That would be great if we could pull that off. The hard part is getting the schedule to work that way. Georgia Southern would kick and scream to stop that from happening. I remember ...

Re: Why don’t we just play Western Carolina as our FCS game every year?
I would like to do what Clemson does and try to schedule a NC FCS ever year. Does a lot for in state interest. WCU Gardner Webb NC A&T Elon. Campbell NC Central Offer $250k for the game. If no takers, so be it. Move on to other FCS schools in our prime recruiting footprint including: ETSU Chatty Ha...

Re: Why don’t we just play Western Carolina as our FCS game every year?
Once we announced we were moving up I think this idea was floated around. IIRC Western was not a fan of the idea of traveling to Boone every year for the amount of money we were willing to pay. They'd much rather get the heavier payday from the Alabama's of the world. That definitely makes sense. I...

Re: Why don’t we just play Western Carolina as our FCS game every year?
Is there a good reason here? Obviously the history is tremendous. It’s also meaningful for all of the western portion of the state. I’d like to think we aren’t too high and mighty that we can’t appreciate our past. What would be so bad about playing Western Carolina and keeping the Old Mountain Jug...

Re: Depth Chart
Wondering. If we have a Senior who I did NOT Redshirt: could he redshirt this year and get the extra year too? This year does not count, from what I understand, so no it would not count unless they come out and determine that redshirt situations like you just mentioned aren't included in the eligib...

Re: Depth Chart
Thanks OP. That really helps me to get to know the players and expected positions. The Noah Hannon guy is supposed to be real good. Is that right? Or was it someone else on the Oline? He is a stud but just lacks the size the NFL wants. Hannon is probably a top 10 center, just based on his play, in ...

App State has not put one out yet but I would think they will any day now. I have no clue how the 2-deep would go for sure but I can guess at the starting lineups QB Zac Thomas RB Marcus Williams WR Malik Williams, Thomas Hennigan, Jalen Virgil TE Henry Pearson LT Cole Garrison LG Ryan Neuzil C Noa...

Re: Can anyone update us on Apps in the NFL
On there Blair, Kilgore, Fehr, Martin, Evans, AD-G, and Lamm were all projected to make cuts. I assume Middleton now as well. Keep in mind as well that ESPN projected cuts at the bottom are 50/50 in a normal year but there was much less seen by the media this year. I would really take them with a g...

Re: Let’s go red wolves
Did Arky State cover the spread? I know Tx St. did. I believe Memphis was favored by -18 so Arkansas State indeed did. I expected Memphis to win by 20 so the fact it was 13 is a good sign for ASU. We need to see more SBC vs AAC scores but early on it appears the SBC is much closer to the AAC than e...

Re: Let’s go red wolves
Arkansas State are who we thought they were. That big receiver (6’4”) of theirs dropped a wide open ball that would have put them 1st and goal on the 7. And then followed that up by getting beat for a jump ball by what looked like a 5’10” CB. I have to give them credit for a close first half. They ...

Re: Corey Sutton - Opting Out
I am not sure of his true reasons for opting out but the optics look like he lost his bid to be the starter. Seriously doubt he leaves if he gets that starting nod on a SEC team that can challenge for a National Title. Georgia isn't a depleted team like LSU is this year, they are stocked and ready ...
