Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?
For those that are opposed to NIL, and I count myself as one, this is going to keep happening unless we give to that cause. I don't disagree, but it wouldn't change anything for me. There is a set amount I am willing to spend for donations/entertainment. Making up numbers, if that amount were $3,00...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
https://x.com/appweeklynews/status/1771648295837782285?s=46&t=UfUtPHfzYe5R3hJ5cku44g Interesting interview. Some names I didn’t expect as performing newcomers. Clark mentions timing of spring ball and wishing it started now. Or, maybe he just wishes he had an extra 15 days for more work. I like the...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
Actually, I looked back and Satterfield did a spring game two years in a row, 2013 and 2014. 2013 was on a Saturday and there was also an open scrimmage at Ardrey Kell HS the week before. The 2014 spring game was on a Friday night for some insane reason. Drinkwitz held a "Mountaineers Day" in 2019 ...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
I am hearing that and it is a sad reality. They seem to have no appetite for it. This was too early for any event though because weather can by weird. I would like to have seen something in mid to late April but the reality is they don't have an appetite for it. I was not going to go just for TIGMA...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
As I said above and this is all I will say on it in this thread; The event was for the kickoff of the TIGMA NIL and it was supported by Athletics to the extent that Clark allowed it to coincide with his last practice of the Spring. As such, it wasn’t a sponsored event by App Athletics so there was ...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
Lack of communication is a pervasive problem for the athletics department. Three posters on Yosef’s Cabin isn’t an effective form of communication. There is a faction of the fanbase that are loyal Yosef Club donors and season ticket holders that are reluctant to support NIL programs (for various re...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
We only used two pitchers yesterday. It couldn’t have been set up any more perfect going into a DH.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
I think the weather played a big part in this game. It was f’ing cold. It was in the low 40s, damp and the wind was howling.

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
I can understand that. How well was it advertised? I just noticed that it was occuring this week or last. Not that I could attend given busy season... I spoke with a few football alumni that were at the event last night that didn’t even know there were events today if that says anything about adver...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
Very disappointed in today’s turnout for the open practice. For a fan base that has been clamoring for access, I was hoping for more than a couple hundred folks.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Forecast looks bad for today and tomorrow Kernit doing everything he can to get it in today. Hope they move it up to 4pm or something. Drove 5 hours for the game! Beat the chickens. They should've moved it up to a noon start like a lot of others schools are doing. Trying to play at 4 probably isn't...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Saturdays game versus beach Chickens is sold out. Way to go App. St. Nation I wonder if the access to spring practice had anything to do with it. I’m hoping that is a booming event for both programs. Baseball deserves great turnout with how they finished last season. Going to the game tomorrow with...

Send that picture to the ACC officiating office and demand an apology. it was Huntley and he got called for the foul........... It's not beyond me. Half a mind to do it. Might be more productive to contact someone that is involved with the NIT. Leave a pair of glasses on the hood of his car. Or som...
