Re: ODU signs H&H w another NC ACC program
ODU stadium capacity - 20,068. Man, us Mountaineers better step up and increase the attendance of our 22k seat stadium because we will never get big P5 games in boone because our stadium us too small. I am tired of this "we can't" attitude on the mountain and within our fanbase and constant excuses...

Re: Roster Updates
Moose, thanks for that post that included Zeb Speir. I had forgotten about him. I didn't follow him after the family moved to the whee. Does he have skills that can be developed or is this just a complimentary nod to a former ASU staffer? Zeb's time in the 40 and his vertical didn't knock me over. ...

Re: I like GOOOOOOLD uniforms!
I don't see how we can afford three different uniforms for nearly 100 players but couldn't afford the conditioning equipment, and bring back the white block A. We made it a national brand. We don't pay for any uniforms, they're paying us $100k to wear those uniforms. And I like the block A as...

On edit, it's not actually three different full sets, but still.

Re: App State Football! Bring it!
I am so looking forward to some App football!! I hope to become more involved in the whole process this year and meet some of the fantastic people on this board. There are a couple reasons why I have not been very active over the past several years. ;) As my username would indicate, I did indeed gr...

Congratulations to the classiest member of the Yosef's Cabin site...bar none.
BTW, little Robert (well not so little anymore) said to tell you hello and thanks again for the Elon game tickets you gave us, many moons ago.

We last upgraded server hosting in February, changing hosts entirely and picking what can best be described as a perennial championship caliber Division III hosting package. Based on a few posts this morning and last night, I know there are a few that have had trouble with the website loading quick...

Re: Possible new Bowl game in South Carolina?
If it is true that the NCAA banned bowl games in SC because of the flag, although I am against the flag being flown on Capitol grounds, I think the NCAA should have stayed out of the PC crappola.
Now if it were flown at games, that would be a different matter.

Happy Independence Day
Let me be the first MMB'er to wish everybody a Happy 4th of July tomorrow. Be careful with the fireworks and don't eat too much Que. FWIW: I heard on NPR today that the Declaration of Independence was actually signed on July 2nd and that it went to the printers, Congress, or whatever on the 4th. If ...

Do any of the administrators of this board know an approximation of the number of posts and subsequent views we have had on this MMB since it's inception? The views would just have to be close to a mil.

Re: Rick Beasley in the WSJ: Leaving, but still loves ASU
From above "Reflecting on the time he spent at ASU, Beasley pointed out that when he arrived in Boone as a freshman in 1977, the west side of Kidd Brewer had only one small level of bleachers, and there was no locker room at the stadium. “The first couple of years, we had to walk up from Varsity Gy...

Re: Rick Beasley in the WSJ: Leaving, but still loves ASU
Just as aside, Rick was well known in the ranks of small city management. I was in a civic club with a then city manager in the Piedmont who knew Rick quite well and said he was highly respected in the ranks and had been recruited by larger cities..

Re: Any word on a new home for field hockey?
They will be a D1 Independent this upcoming season but after that, they hope to find a conference home. I hate to say it, but if they don't within two years, I can see the program be re-purposed for lacrosse and I hate lacrosse. Nothing against the ladies as they are great ambassadors to App State,...

Re: Any word on a new home for field hockey?
Any rumors or announcement on where the field hockey team will be playing in the future with the NorPac's demise? Independence could be rough long-term. I see only four reasonable options 1)A-10 (7 full members including Davidson, VCU, and Richmond, already has 3 affiliate FH members); 2)CAA (7 ful...
