Panthers Activate Presley

The #Panthers activated DB/WR/PR De’Andre Presley from the PUP list to the 53-man roster and cut RB Chris Ogbonnaya.

i'm interested to see how they utilize him. He started out as a WR in training camp, but has been working as a NIckel and PR since he came back to practice

Is DJ Smith still on the roster as well? That would make two Apps on the Camthers roster.

I believe they cut dj a couple weeks ago. He was on the active roster for a couple weeks, never played that I know of, then was cut. Best of luck to Deandre

they kept DJ a couple of weeks to make sure Thomas Davis was OK then they cut him - I am really surprised no one has picked him up with all the injuries every team is having to deal with ---

He had a serious injury. I wonder if he has lost a step?

Did you read something about this (practice squad) or just guessing/hoping?

On of the Observer's beat writers tweeted yesterday that it was likely he'd be resigned to the PS.

I honestly have no idea what Gettleman is doing right now. I am sure he has a plan, but the moves throughout the season sure don't seem to make a lot of sense.

I agree - you can't let S Smith go - look what LaFell is doing in NE - Ginn? - how good could Benjamin be with a couple of other real weapons - And I still firmly believe in my non-objective mind that he cut Armanti to make a statement - he brought up a guy who had never played --- oh well they had their one good year every 5 years last season, don't see them making the playoffs this year ---

As a fan, I hope we don't make the playoffs. What benefit is there in going 8-7-1, winning the division and losing in the Wild Card round and getting the 18th pick? JUST LOSE, BABY!

Presley re-signed to practice squad. Basically this was all done because the Panthers wanted to take him off of PUP so that he could be able to practice but you can't go from PUP straight to P squad. Black and Blue Review has a good breakdown on it

I was pulling for them to win the division, but you're right, they'd be going nowhere in the playoffs. There's no way they're catching New Orleans now anyway. I don't think they need to be in full-on tank mode because they aren't looking for a franchise QB, but I would like to see them draft high enough to get a stud LT.
