I thought this was DP's second year. Wasn't he on the Dolphin practice squad for a time last year?

Yes, DP was on the practice squad for a time last year.

Whoops. Sorry Rankin. I forgot to add the second part of that statement. I was watching the NDSU/K-State game.

Eligibility for players in their first or second year in the NFL:

Players who do not have an accrued season in the NFL (in other words, rookies are automatically eligible).
Players with one year NFL experience who were active for less than nine regular season games.

Forgot to add this as it applies to DP. My bad.

I guess I need to concentrate more on the computer than the TV. I used to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time but I'm guessing I might fall down if I tried it now.

Well I can still walk and chew gum at the same time and that is exponentially easier than all of the work you put into keeping us informed with all things social media. Thank you for what you do for us.

I know it's crazy but I kind of enjoy looking at all this stuff. It keeps me from just sitting here looking at the white walls and waiting for the little slot in my door to open with my meds.

Interesting news from the Panthers. Jimmy Clausen is one of the first cuts. Not a big surprise as Gettleman has a history of only keeping 2 QB's on the roster but it does open up one usually filled roster spot. While I have no question that AE is safe today this just makes him even safer.

BTW...if anyone hears an explosion just east of Boone today it's either my computer or my head. I've currently got three browsers and about 25 tabs open trying to keep up. If it's not posts about our game day, it's posts about NDSU's game last night plus all the NFL posts going full bore. It's going to be a LONG day. An aneurysm is not out of the question either.

FYI...So far it looks like Quick, DJ, and McCray are on their 53's. Those teams have pretty much finished the cuts. I know the first two aren't surprises and I'm glad to see Demetrius make it. I know there are other locks but until all teams have finished posting the cuts I won't list them as offical.

Corey Lynch cut by Titans.

Corey Lynch has been cut by the Titans. Thought he had a chance to make it but there are a lot of DB's being cut. He did play pretty well so we'll see if he gets picked up anywhere. 4 hours left so teams are going to have to get the lists finished soon.

McCray confirmed via Twitter that he had made the 53. Congrats to Demetrius

Sorry Everybody. Lost everything because of a storm. I just got my stuff back up. It's going to take a while to catch back up.

Quick Hits: Miller and Fletcher both have been cut although I fully expect Miller to be put on the practice squad, if he makes it that far (other teams are watching him). Still checking on Fletcher to see if he's eligible. Miami is still behind but I'm watching for their list. I'll try and catch up as quickly as possible.

Update: Fletcher would be eligible because he didn't have any stats for Cleveland this would be his second year and he has no game time.

De'Andre has been cut by Miami but he played well enough to be put back on the PS or maybe be picked up by another team. I'll type up a list with the PS players tomorrow when the PS's are filled.

Looks as though Cadet made it on the Saints roster. If that holds they will be carrying 5 RB's so I would expect him to either be active as a returner on inactive part of the time unless the rumored Ingram trade happens.

One surprise I just saw was David Gettis getting cut by the Panthers. Figured he was going to be fighting with AE, Ginn, and Hixon for the #3 spot. I haven't found a final roster for the Panthers but if they only kept 5 WR's then I think they might be looking at picking up someone else after the cuts. I'll keep watching that.

OK...this is the best I've got from a quick look through all the posts:

Mark Legree, and Troy Sanders: cut (LeGree after 10 days with the Bills and Sanders in the first set of cuts by the Falcons)

Jeremy Kimbrough (Redskins) cut and then placed on IR.

Jabari Fletcher (Cowboys), Steven Miller (Lions), DeAndre Presley (Dolphins), and Corey Lynch (Titans) all cut in final cut downs today. Fletcher, Miller and Presley are all PS eligible.

Travaris Cadet (Saints), Armanti Edwards (Panthers), Jason Hunter (Raiders), Daniel Kilgore (49ers), Sam Martin (Lions), Demetrius McCray (Jaguars), Brian Quick (Rams), and D.J. Smith (Chargers) have all made their teams 53 man roster.

This is still a fluid situation and other things can happen as teams see which other players were cut. Best guess is that, other than Travaris, who's situation could still change (5 RB's wasn't expected and there is trade talk with Ingram), all the last group are solidly on their rosters. Also expect Miller and Presley to make the PS unless someone else picks them up first. We'll see with Fletcher and Lynch.

We've still got a couple of days before this all shakes out. I'll keep watching and post any updates.

De'Andre Presley has signed to the Dolphins Practice Squad.

I'm still watching to see if DJ and Corey are picked up by anyone.
