Re: AE tonight
Good numbers. Wish Carolina had not screwed him by picking him too high. He would have been better to go to CFL and prove himself. Although he did get a chance to train with the best and get a good check in the NFL. He might be better for the experience.

Re: AE tonight
I'm hoping AE proves himself in the CFL and gets another shot in the NFL. It be a long shot but a chance to see him maybe with a team that knows how to utilize him in the NFL would be nice.

Re: AE tonight
No surprise here with their results since AE was able to contribute. Winners win, it's what they do.proasu89 wrote:Riders win in OT. Nice play by Ed Gainey to set up the win! The Riders are 3-0 with AE on the field.

He is where he always should have been. I hope he has a great career there. It is good football. The NFL is not all that there is.

Re: AE tonight
I tend to agree. Awesome college QB one of the best ever. Transition to receiver was going to be tough. Glad he hung in there. Maybe he will get another shot in the NFLbcoach wrote:He is where he always should have been. I hope he has a great career there. It is good football. The NFL is not all that there is.

So you guys don't think that if, indeed, the Patriots would have picked him if not for the Panthers moving up, that Belichek couldn't have made him another Edleman or Amendola? ---

Hell, this season he could have been their QB! But yes, I think the Pats could have done much better with him. And it pains me to say that because I despise them so much.WVAPPeer wrote:So you guys don't think that if, indeed, the Patriots would have picked him if not for the Panthers moving up, that Belichek couldn't have made him another Edleman or Amendola? ---

Re: AE tonight
I don't. Too many great NFL minds have taken a pass. That is no knock on AE though. We are talking NFL. Less than 1% of players ever get there. Not many get to CFL either and I think he will do well there.

Re: AE tonight
AE was set to be the Can'thers third receiver in 2013 before his hammy injury in the last preseason game. He had improved to that point. Cleveland picked him up and he reinjured his hammy. He is NFL ready. He was targeted six times last night and caught all six, including some serious highlight reel catches to extend drives or to set up FG attempts. He could go back to the NFL and make a team as possession receiver now. Armanti has indicated that he wants to play next season in a place where his family can be with him. My hope is isn't with Carolina.

Re: AE tonight
He's got 298 all purpose yards in 3 games, including 231 yards receiving on 19 catches and 1 (spectacular) TD catch.
I hope he remembers his Boone winters, it's 32F in Regina today and they'll get 1-3" of snow over the next 24 hours or so. . . . after this season he may be hoping for Miami or Tampa to call.

Re: AE tonight
Apologize for the double post, but slightly interesting tidbit for those of us who understand what it's like to have the place you're from mispronounced.
Regina is pronounced in such a way that it rhymes with a particular part of a woman's anatomy the some candidates brag about grabbing. If you've seen Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds he announces himself as a "Rookie from Regina, Saskatchewan. Regina, it rhymes with fun."
