Re: Kilgore resigns with the 49ers
The summer of 2014 I went to San Jose for business and we had a dinner at Levi Stadium. Kilgore and the rest of the 49ers O-Line happened to be at the bar in the restaurant when we were there. I was student at the same time he was and remember him being a big dude but seeing him surrounded by fellow NFL linemen he was the "little guy". To play as long as he has in the NFL at his size is a testament to his talent.

Big Daniel will be snapping to the highest paid QB in the league. Very proud of him and his success!

Re: Kilgore re-signs with the 49ers
I've always been curious as to what monetary contributions our professional alumni give back to the school.

Individual, charitable, IRS tax-deductible contributions are confidential between the contributor and the university. That info is never disclosed unless the contributor wishes to make it known or to have it made known. (For our purposes here, let's just acknowledge that the state Dept. of Revenue and the IRS know everything.)

Former athletes give back in major ways behind the scenes with monetary contributions, personal appearances, volunteerism and in other ways. Most have done so over the years--through the Yosef Club, the Former Athlete's Association or through various university-wide campaigns. Some haven't and perhaps never will. It's a personal choice. The few who haven't and perhaps never will have their reasons--which may or may not be justifiable ones.

Takes talent to say that much without saying anything lolasu66 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 6:31 pmIndividual, charitable, IRS tax-deductible contributions are confidential between the contributor and the university. Is this to athletics or in general? I would think that overall school donations would be more than a 5% rate
