The Colts have placed Corey Lynch on IR. I hope it isnt anything too bad. I fear this may be his last run at the NFL.

Doesn't that mean he is also vested in the NFL?asu66 wrote:It's not a hopeful sign. This is the time he should be making good impressions. On a more positive note, Corey is a seven year NFL vet. He's beyond the average NFL player's career which is reported to be between three years and six years depending on the source you want to quote.

Very true. I was once told years ago, "One can marry more money in fifteen minutes than one can make in a lifetime."WVAPPeer wrote:My guess is that he was set the day he married into the wealthy family
If I understand the rule correctly - you are right - however if the player does receive a injury settlement and released he CAN play for another team that season - since it hasn't been disclosed what Corey's injury was I don't know if this is possible or not for him if he's released ---Rekdiver wrote:Yep he is done for the season. He will probably get some injury settlement and I would doubt he will playa again.
We don't know how serious Corey's injury is...and ultimately that will determine his future in football. The Colts were obviously not optimistic, since they shut him down for the year. As soon as they think he's well on the mend, they'll release him to to get him off their payroll. And off their benefits plan.WVAPPeer wrote:If I understand the rule correctly - you are right - however if the player does receive a injury settlement and released he CAN play for another team that season - since it hasn't been disclosed what Corey's injury was I don't know if this is possible or not for him if he's released ---Rekdiver wrote:Yep he is done for the season.
