Winning % is great. When Cig has won several Natty's at the FBS level, I believe a more serious discussion is to be had as to one of the greatest. Just my opinion.

Re: Curt Cignetti teams....
When you consider what he took over and has done I think it is fair to say he has done the best coaching job in FBS the last 2 years. I believe he will end up being considered the best coach in FBS within a few years but definitely need to wait and let it play out before saying he is for sure.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 2:42 pmWinning % is great. Yeah, right now he is winning with g6 players, what happens when he has p4 talent?AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 6:33 pmWhen you consider what he took over and has done I think it is fair to say he has done the best coaching job in FBS the last 2 years. Re: Curt Cignetti teams....
I think he won with the players people overlooked and he does have a few top 200 HS recruits but your point is taken and should only do better. He now has a bullseye on his chest though so it will be interesting to see what happens. I do believe in Cignetti and expect that Indiana is not going away while he is there.AppWyo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 2:44 pmYeah, right now he is winning with g6 players, what happens when he has p4 talent?AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 6:33 pmWhen you consider what he took over and has done I think it is fair to say he has done the best coaching job in FBS the last 2 years. Re: Curt Cignetti teams....
I do not believe he has more than a bullseye in the future as he did this year. I do not believe any BIG team overlooked IU during regular season, OSU in BIG Championship game or any playoff opponent.
He age his staff just had a better team. He does a very good job at taking what the D gives him on O... And just D flies around the ball . If they do not go undefeated next year or not win cfp championship, I do not believe it has anything to do with any bullseye. It is just freaking hard to win a Natty especially in today's world of player turnover. Each season, a team is new. Getting them to gel with the right chemistry is anybody's guess.

Before 2025, Indiana had won three total bowl games. They won 3 this year.

If a college football league ever shows up again....you know with rules and college students...I hope we will join it. I am good to go to the Ivy way of no scholarships and I am fine with a league that eligibility ends at 23 years of age.
I am not interested in competing for who has the most money.

I get it; but what would we argue about if we didn’t have TP/NIL? Here are a few discussion topics for consideration:spacemonkey wrote: ↑Thu Jan 22, 2026 12:22 pmIf a college football league ever shows up again....you know with rules and college students...I hope we will join it. Re: Curt Cignetti teams....
You hear some people talking about collective bargaining which really means unions. What happens when demands are not met and they strike? Does that mean you just do not have football for that season. What about organized crime gets involved to fix games?spacemonkey wrote: ↑Thu Jan 22, 2026 12:22 pmIf a college football league ever shows up again....you know with rules and college students...I hope we will join it.
