I am not sure Scott would have been aware that his QB was betting on Bearcats basketball. Persons with addictions and problems are often adept at hiding them.
Let's give a true Mountaineer the benefit of doubt, and stop the nonsense until more is learned otherwise. Something that actually calls into question a former athlete, an alum, and a successfull coach that gave his all for App State.

I bet he didn't know.
Yeah. I mean what are the odds he knew anything about it at all?

I try to view all people the same whether they are one of ours or not. I want to go by the facts and so far there is no proof he knew of anything. If there is I would love to see it. I do believe that Tech and other schools tampered with the QB but probably not any evidence so it is just an opinion.

Give some odds and I'm sure Sorsby will bet with you.

Satterfield provided no comment, as expected, when asked about this at BIG12 Media Day. However, he did mention that multiple schools including Texas Tech had tampered with Sorsby before the end of the season.
Why mention *only* Texas Tech by name? I have my thoughts. I do not know if Satterfield himself knew. I do know that somebody at Cincinnati knew. It would be impossible not to know with the technology that is used to track player gambling.

Don't know if he has evidence about others but it is common sense that more than just Tech would be interested since he was an All-Big 12 QB. I am sure he mentioned Tech simply because they landed him.
With all this stuff coming out I think it is pretty obvious that schools need to have an app or something that players are required to download so they can track gambling. This has been a huge embarrassment for Tech and schools will want to do their best to avoid this in the future.

I believe tracking like that is performed at the conference and school level already. It essentially tracks activity on the players personal information linked to gambling activity. If that is happening at the Sun Belt level, it 100% is occurring in the Big 12.
This is why I believe someone knew. Don’t know who yet.

I know just about every P4 school has it. Does App and all G6 schools have it? According to the agent, he says that Sorsby was found out when he went to a casino and the app pinged from his phone. The agent is claiming that only Brendan and his friends who gamble with him knew. I would agree with you someone else likely knew but need to have proof or else we don't know for sure who yet like you said.

I believe App has this, but I think it’s administered at the conference level.

I heard the league uses Prohibet but was not sure if every school actually used it or just the league office. Hopefully we have one.
