Re: Georgia or TCU?
I live in the area and that’s an event-specific thing, not a California thing. Coliseum and Rose both allow it, as does LAFC and LA Galaxy. SoFi allows it during Rams and Chargers games.appstate24 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 2:10 pmWould be cool for TCU to win, but I think the Dawgs win 45-24.
How about the real loser here…The fans in attendance. NO TAILGATING allowed at Sofi Stadium. Yay California!![]()

Dodgers stadium doesn’t allow it because of a nasty assault a number of years ago. Crypto Arena doesn’t because it’s in downtown and there’s no space.
This is just some CFP exec making a dumb decision. Will that convince a bunch of stadium employees who are used to it to enforce it? Doubt it.
Edit: apparently CFP has had the ban on tailgating since at least New Orleans in 2020.
Also, hoping for the Frogs to pull this one off.

Rout is on.
UGA too much.

Re: Georgia or TCU?
In a battle of resources , it's the SEC , then the Big10 and Notre Dame , a large and growing gap then the rest of P5.

Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State - one of them will be CFP winner again next year. They’re just at a different level from the rest. When you expand playoffs these teams will get in every year.

UGA is playing their best at this point, TCU is not. They needed to dial it in to have a chance and they never could in the first half.

Everyone that isn’t The BIG10 and SEC better be relieved that the CFP is expanding.
Because this showing tonight from TCU just emphasizes how massive the gap is between the top top of college football and the rest. The BIG12 would never snif a bud again under this current format.

They will just be eliminated in the first round. None will be seeded in the top 4 and get a first round bye.ah59396 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 9:40 pmEveryone that isn’t The BIG10 and SEC better be relieved that the CFP is expanding.

Re: Georgia or TCU?
I already know what a few will say but do we really long for the day when we maybe slip into an expanded playoff after what is deemed to be a great year to only get our doors blown off by a semi-pro SEC team? College football is getting boring.

Re: Georgia or TCU?
Should we ever be lucky enough to get there, I think the best possible outcome for us would be to win the first CFP game and then lose closely in the quarterfinals.
People won’t admit it here but we all know what happens if App ever managed to get in front of CFP edition Alabama/Georgia/Clemson/LSU/Ohio State.

Re: Georgia or TCU?
Maybe some of those 3rd string 4/5* LB/DLine guys for UGA hit the portal to come to app! Announce Kirby as DC already the game was over before it started

Re: Georgia or TCU?
My argument would be...yes....we want to be there. It is the only way to get better is to keep showing up. TCU was not long ago conf-usa.
This Georgia team is just a lot.
I would argue it is two or three from the SEC and two or three from the BIG and then the rest are beatable. Notre Dame was taken down by Marshall earlier this year and we gave PennState all they wanted a few years back.
I hope it expands to 16. Or even better 24 and the top 8 gets a bye. Yeah...it will take a special team with a special performance but that is what makes sports great.
