Re: Cincinnati - Georgia
So far our G5 rep is showing strong but they just lost a key O Lineman on a bonehead targeting penalty after the play. Pulling hard for the Bearcats.

Re: Cincinnati - Georgia
The arrogance in general of the way their programs act towards everyone else. I'm quite tired of them beating out more deserving teams for some of the better non cfp bowls just because they are sec. They've only had the best bowl record 3 times in the last 20 years yet they still are given better bowls.

Cincy lost on the FG with 3 seconds to play, but still gave a good accounting for themselves. They showed they were every bit as good as one of the better SEC teams.

I agree about the lesser bowls - But, isn't that on the Bowls - not the SEC?appdaze wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 3:43 pmThe arrogance in general of the way their programs act towards everyone else. Re: Cincinnati - Georgia
Why do you not keep it on the ground on 3rd down to keep clock running when UGA has not timeouts? Worst case scenario, you have the same outcome with 30-40 seconds less on the clock

Re: Cincinnati - Georgia
For the ones outside of contractual obligations correct, but it is this supposed reputation of being the best conference that they get those non auto bids. There are plenty of fan bases that would attract better ratings once you get past GA, Bama, and FL. LSU and AU are good programs, but they don't have the nationwide pull that those other 3 do, and typically those 5 teams are in the CFP/NY6 bowls already. Even then they tend to lose. It just doesn't seem to matter how bad the SEC is some years and how good others are the cartel still reigns.WVAPPeer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 3:49 pmI agree about the lesser bowls - But, isn't that on the Bowls - not the SEC?appdaze wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 3:43 pmThe arrogance in general of the way their programs act towards everyone else. Re: Cincinnati - Georgia
That absolute collapse by Cincy just set G5’s back even more. Yes they are every bit as good and should have won that game but the general public will just see that they lost and looked horrible in the 4th quarter. Any talk of them being ranked higher or considered for the playoffs is erased by falling apart and losing in such a stupid way

Re: Cincinnati - Georgia
Bad clock management. Not even a safe throw, but a downfield one. They also snapped it with several seconds left on the play clock twice on that drive. Georgia should have started that last drive with 30-35 seconds left rather than 1:30. Assuming Cincy couldn’t just run for two yards and end the game.
