Furman was supposed to be pretty strong this season. Wonder if the prognosticators were wrong, or if Samford is better than expected?

A few Samford fans on AGS were claiming they were really strong this year. Easy to dismiss but I guess maybe they're the real deal this season.

I believe Furman lost some key guys. Off the top of my head they lost QB Forcier, RB Uhaa, LB Anderson, CB Steed and a couple of guys on the OL. Still it took Samford winning the TO margin (+4) to win by 3. Look for Furman to improve as the season goes along if Derrick can get more efficient. His numbers (3 INT's) were sub-par against Samford.
