New Sun Belt Logo

It's a sun. The center of the circle is white (the sun), and the lines represent rays. The four areas that are black (in App's) indicate the belt going across the sun. Hence, Sun Belt. I don't find it very confusing, plus it's just a logo.

As I said, it's an improvement on the old logo and while maybe not the greatest logo ever, it's not that bad. I'm not sure what more you were looking for.

How could no one have picked up on this earlier? Sun Belt...logo looks kinda like a sun...jeeze some people are dense.

If you have to have a contest to see who can figure out what it represents, then you have missed it. Come on folks, admit it. It looks like someone remembered 15 minutes before the meeting that they were supposed to come up with a logo. I know we are all trying to be positive but, really?

I'm sure you could have done much better.

App could have moved to the SEC and there would be a few that would find things to complain about.

My comment had nothing to do with moving conferences. It had to do with a logo that nobody understands. I would suggest that if you took off the candy and just left the verbiage it would look just fine.

Nobody understands? It is a blasted logo not a coded map to the location to DB Cooper's stash. Better call in Brad Meltzer's crew to figure this thing out! Sheesh!

Lets see 12 "spokes" with 8 in one color and 4 in another. The 8 are the full members and the other 4 are the 4 associate members (NM State, Idaho, UA-LR, UT-SA). Seems pretty straight forward to me.

I just saw a Wells Fargo ad on TV that used relatively the same design to transition a piechart to the wagon wheel.............
It did seem pretty straignt forward to me too although I would have made a flag with the sunbelt colors with 12 stars.............

No not at all. Just being funny. I am actually really surprised at how much more seriously most people have taken this than I have. My comment could have been made about most conference logos. Most are not very inspiring but does anybody really care? I just want to see some football. Your explanation made sense but no I am really not going to have one in my office. I didn't have one of the SOCON either. If it does not have an A on it there is no wall space allotted.
