I agree totally. Got our work cut out for us while McCall sticks around Coastal.

They didnt mean P5 independant. The graphic stated the last school to do it was Houston in 2015.

There's the difference between App and the rest.....we know how to finish it and put the exclamation mark on a season.

Hahahahahaha... couldn’t have happened to a better bunch. They will crow about 11-1, but 13-1 looks and sounds better to me.

I was streaming the game via Sling. Your post beat the last play by a good bit, but I didn’t believe it.
I was half mad I read it, half relieved your post was right. And 100% glad CCU lost.
What would have been of Liberty had they beat NCSU?
Love them or hate them, Liberty beat 2 ACC teams, and nearly took out three.
Be gone mullets, be gone!!!!!!!!

So true. CCU really needed this. I would imagine they drop to about where we finished last year around 17-19 range in the polls.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 11:26 pmThere's the difference between App and the rest.....we know how to finish it and put the exclamation mark on a season.
Outside of CCU I think the SBC has had a great showing in bowls. There is no doubt that the Sun Belt is better than the MAC and CUSA right now.

App State and Sun Belt Twitter is glorious tonight. I fully expect all the new CCU fans to forget they had a football season within 3-4 weeks, so hopefully the nightmare is almost over.
Give 'em hell!

Going undefeated is very difficult.
We know how tough it is, now they know.

Yes, but they don’t know the pleasure of winning a bowl game to cap off a season

Glad they didn't lose their coach before the bowl game to take away potential excuses and to let the coach earn his "L".

Re: SunBelt continues to win -
Let's face it to go undefeated a team leads a charmed life. Coastal stopped BYU on the one yard line to preserve a win, made a late score to topple Troy, and recovered the fumble at the goal line last night. In the end, that good fortune ran out. In many ways, the odds caught up to us this year.
There is reason for Coastal fans to be proud of what their team accomplished this year. But, they have to live with that bitter loss for 9 months. A loss that no doubt puts a tarnish on their spectacular season. I've got no grief with anyone who pulled against them last night. I do think it bad form to publicly revel in their defeat, however. And, I think it foolish to think they were one hit wonders.
Regardless, it was a great game to watch.

Re: SunBelt continues to win -
Nice little COVID season, Coastal.*
I mean, 11-1 isn’t as good as 13-1, and you still haven’t won an SBC Championship game or a bowl game, but... a nice little season.*
It must be disappointing to be the only team in the conference to lose a bowl game (we wouldn’t know) but you have 8 months to “mullet” over.
