Per one of the new 2013 football rags, a current SBC head football coach, speaking of the changes in the SBC, is quoted as saying, "We're certainly in flux right now. I'm not going to try to paint a pretty picture necessarily because I don't know that it is pretty."
I'd say somebody needs to be made a believer. They didn't give the coach's name or school obviously.

I'd bet $$ it was ULL's coach.

He might have an entirely new reason to be negative when App and GaSo rise to the top of the league within a few short years.

not a big deal, guy just trying to be honest, and he is right, with everything that has happened in the last year, we have no idea how good or bad the conference is going to be for atleast a couple of years, though I think the conference is in for a nasty surprise when both App and GS get up to speed.

With UL-Monroe's surprise ascent last year, coupled with ULL's bowl win, right now, I'd say the two Louisiana schools are the teams to beat but yeah I think both App and GSU won't be the usual new conference doormats that some expect us to be. Cannot wait until the 2014 schedule gets released.
