So Alabama getting the Western Ky treatment. The Hilltoppers scored two quick, long TDs. Looks a lot like last year for us.

My neighbors are there. Decided to take in the game after a cruise. He just said they might stay for the half, or maybe a quarter. Deja vu

Call me petty, but I'm okay with watching a Kane Womack team getting hammered.

Watching it I am trying to figure out why WKU lost 5 games and USA only lost 2 by a total of 5 points.
Apparently the Hilltoppers do one hell of a job with bowl preparation.

I've said it many times. Other schools actually recruit, coach, practice and compete to win at least as much as App does...many apparently do it better. Those Lamborghini references to our rosters kill me. We have had several good/great players in the past and even the last Satt and only Drink year we were fairly loaded but we ain't playing Idaho, New Mexico State and crappy LM and Alabama State these days.

I read that our recruiting class is rated high among best among non-autonomous conferences. What does that even mean?

Man, that offense was a well oiled machine last night. They have had some good QB's the last two years to run it. If you play them thinking you are just going to do what you do and they start strong, you may find yourself in quite a hole. Seems to be a much better team than their record indicates, much like last year also.

The Air Raid is a lot like the triple option. When it works, it is a near unstoppable thing of football beauty. But if you don’t stay on schedule, it turns into 3 and out after 3 and out real fast.

Looking at their schedule, they lost both P5 games they played (Auburn and a 3 pt loss to Indiana). Got clobbered by North Texas, and lost close games to UTSA and Troy. Honestly, Indiana is probably the worst loss of those 5.

USA only played 1 P5 team- a 1 pt loss to UCLA. And they also lost to Troy. Most of the rest of their games were pretty close. A quick glance at their schedule looks like they had the opposite season as App. They had some luck and a few things go right to win a handful of their games. 5-6 plays go the other way and USA probably has 5-6 losses.

Watching this game was so painful, I was almost compelled to switch channels for the comparative Utopia of a Hallmark Christmas movie.

The toppers were rolling! When it clicks, you can’t stop it.

another way in which the air raid offense is like the triple option is that, if the D has the right personnel, it gets shut down. If the D doesn't have the right personnel or doesn't scheme properly for it, they will make you look terrible. It's all about match-ups.
