I have a hard time believing that a major company REALLY needs some random college athlete to help them sell their products especially if that athlete has to say who they are.

Had a company with locations in Roanoke and Lynchburg that was using a Virginia basketball player for comercials. Lasted a couple months. No more athletes being used.fjblair wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 11:50 amThat's the ruse.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 11:39 amI have a hard time believing that a major company REALLY needs some random college athlete to help them sell their products especially if that athlete has to say who they are.

That is why true NIL would be a total failure. Just what would you buy because an athlete pitched it to you?

I like them. They are spicy but not too hot. They aren’t on the menu but they’ll make them for you.

Re: Another domino has fallen NIL
One thing NIL/portal will do is keep school records intact. With the players transferring left and right most holding school records now, probably won't see them beat.

Good point, I had not considered the impact on school or conference records.

All time records might not fall but season records will continue to fall, both of our past 2 transfer QBs have proven that already.
