Assume that last post was directed at mine so I'll state that I only posted a direct quote from a 2017 visitor that was reflected in similar posts from a dozen or so others (important to note that several groups of teammates came together so that could be a reason for the number of those type of posts). You'll notice I didn't mention the grass myself but mainly concentrated on the stadium itself with the track being the center point. If people want to sit on a grass bank that's their business. I know the sun was and will continue to be an issue on the East side, especially in afternoon games, and there are areas on the bank with some shade. I turned out to be a nice day for a picnic. Not always the case in Boone, as we all know. My point was that no FBS stadium should ever be laughingly compared to a high school stadium by someone we're trying to get to come play for us. And that was more a knock at the track than the grass but it was mentioned.

Gotcha, Moose - I think you know how much of a priority I place on recruiting; I think should be considered in pretty much all decisions we make. So I'm all for doing what we can to make the best impression possible. I personally don't really care about the track, but I know a lot of people do, and if it would help us look better to visiting recruits to remove it, then so be it.

Exactly. I'll be the first to admit that KBS needs some major upgrades sooner rather than later. Aesthetic upgrades, not an upgrade in the number of seats. Personally I want a "great/loud/exciting" atmosphere...not an "interesting" one as Moose pointed out a recruit saying. An "interesting" atmosphere doesn't sound too positive. More seats and more aluminum shining won't fix that.
