Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
If anything the view is going to be better. The NEZ complex doesn't block the view of Howard's Knob unless you're sitting in the NEZ seats.

There was a flag on top of the crane when the west side facility was being built. Gold with black AAppstate88 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 8:58 amWould love to see a an App State flag on top of the crane and big “JOIN YOSEF CLUB” banner hanging down from the cable for Homecoming game.

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
Agree as well. This didn’t need to be an either or situation. The end zone project is one story too tall. It blocks too much of Howard’s Knob. If we needed the space then make the footprint bigger. It’s a done deal now.

Really, so what did I see from my seat on the west side. The building doesn’t have to be finished for me to see how tall it is.Yosef10 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 8:43 amYou don’t even know what it looks like lol

Oh sweet baby geezus. How low have we sunk that we are complaining about progress?

I'm not complaining about the growth because I think all the expansion is great and needed, but I will admit that I will miss my view of Howards Knob.

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
We should have probably built a 2 story building, with a small visitor locker room and a couple of coaches offices. Wait...

I don't buy tickets in KBS to stare at Howard's Knob while I'm at a game.

Understood. I imagine that some vantage points are going to be compromised.

You can't see the dorms behind the NEZ, but you can clearly see Howards Knob from the west side seats (maybe not from the band's seats).

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
I love the progress and I very much think we needed the new building but that view of Howard’s Knob made our place special. Our stadium isn’t sitting in an industrial area. It’s in the mountains. This didn’t need to be either or. We could have built a beautiful addition to KBS and saved the view of Howard’s Knob. Yes you can still see the top of the mountain. My opinion, it’s one story too tall. It’s done now and it’s not going to stop me from going to the games but I can complain about it if I want to.

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
With the seating structure starting to go in place you can see how high and far the stands will be above the field. It appears from the camera there will enough room for additional seating added at a later date below this seating to the field level. I saw on the mountaineer impact site under End Zone Project Frequently asked questions there is one labeled will the end zone facility connect the east and west stands. It states at this time it will not, however, should additional resources become available, there would be an opportunity in the future to connect the two concourses. I wounder if the concourse will be beneath the seats that are currently being added and then additional seats will extend down to field level. Does anyone know?

I’d guess it would be connecting the “concourse” on the outside to each side. Could look really nice when done.Mountaineers89 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 10:09 amWith the seating structure starting to go in place you can see how high and far the stands will be above the field. As for this upcoming fall (20), what do you guys think will be done at that point, or more importantly, what visually will still be under contruction?

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
I think that DG said that it will be done in as much that it can and will be used for all football needs. I.e weight rooms, locker rooms, offices, and a fan shop. I think a couple of the multi use floors will be unfinished. Could be wrong though.
