Kidd Brewer open to public?

Hey fellow Mountaineers!

I'm curious as to whether or not Kidd Brewer (the field itself) is open to the public? My fiance and I are having our engagement pictures taken next week on campus and I'd absolutely love to be able to have some taken out on the field! Anyone have any insight?

Don't have any advice on the KBS question, but I'm certain someone on here can help. Wanted to congratulate you on the engagement. Great idea taking the pictures on campus.

The gate is usually open to the field. Ive never had a problem getting in

It is usually open to the public in that the gate is open and people are jogging the track and doing stairs. I remember only a few times it was closed and it was because of a gameday the next day, or there was bad weather and they didn't want people hurting themselves on the track.

Actually it was a stipulation that Kidd Brewer would be open consistently to the public for recreational use. You should have no problem but would contact the PTB for specific times just to be sure.
