Looks like they are already installing the temporary stands under the NEZ. Atmosphere is going to be electric. Can’t wait!

Sure do hope they plan on putting up some padding around there, that looks extra close to the end zone unless my perception is off. I'm imagining an end of game against South Carolina situation but instead of bushes it's a metal wall.

Looking at the NEZ cam, potential issue - the weight of the stands and fans on gameday may do some damage to the synthetic playing surface (turf). Bet we have to replace some turf after the Dub. $$$$

That area has an asphalt base and different kind of turf. Sand instead of rubber. It is a different color too.

Those aren't seats...they've finally started construction on the new track. Great marketing, keeping it a secret and unveiling it at the UNC game.

that looks about the same distance away from the end zone the last time stands were here and i seem to remember some padding. i would hope a player or coach would speak up if this is not done but i can’t imagine a decision maker had not thought of this as well.

It’ll be cool if they leave a space in the middle as a tunnel.

I still think a tunnel needs to be dug under the south west concourse with stairs that lead up into the visitors locker room. Having to rope off a busy concourse multiple times per game so a hundred guys plus equipment can get through is suboptimal.

At some point, they will have to address the West stands. Hopefully they build something like this into their plan.

True, but back then Cline had a better view of Howard's Knob

I couldn't care less about Howard's knob (smart arse) except the fire tower used to be fun to climb.

Did you ever fall from that tower? It wouldn’t really surprise me given some of your questions that you ask and your inability to utilize Google.

The patio, "Rock Garden", will be available for all games except the UNC game. There is field level seating in the southeast corner, the "Mountaineer Lounge", for the UNC game. Tickets for that are $300, which includes a buffet and a cash bar.

Now that I see those temp stands going up, I'd like to see them there permanently, for student seating. It looks good. And I agree about the tunnel. I'm guessing there'll be one with the way the stands are going up.
