To be fair, we don’t really know that they didn’t look into that. Do we? Sugar Creek was equipped to handle the crowd without affecting normal business, I.e. a separate meeting room as well as the ability to cater it. If you can give me names of App owned businesses,I don’t mind asking if they inquired.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 9:35 pmIn Charlotte at Sugar Creek today. Seems like they could go to one of the App owned Breweries
Ford Craven with Southern Strain Brewery. Original location in Concord with satellite location in Plaza Midwood. Ben Dolphens with Devine Barrel Brewing in NoDa. Sugar Creek is certainly a great spot to host functions and Joe Vogelbacher is super cool, so don’t want to take business away from him. And you’re right, Sugar Creek has the separate banquet bar so that functions would not interfere with the regular customers, so it may just be a better fit.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 6:24 amTo be fair, we don’t really know that they didn’t look into that. It looked to be a really cool venue. I didn’t get to explore it but the patio in the back looked nice. The Protagonist next door looked like a pretty cool place as well. Need better parking all around the area though.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 7:48 amFord Craven with Southern Strain Brewery. It wasn't all that long ago they had one in Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston. All were poorly attended for the few years they did it so they stopped going there. No point in spending thousands of dollars on an event when less than 10 people show up.
They used to go to Wilmington as well with similar turnouts.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 9:46 amIt wasn't all that long ago they had one in Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston.
