Hey App State fans, why is the Rock empty??
They took it down as fast as they put it up. Maybe because there are more people on the bank than they get in their whole stadium.

Well I'm here. It was packed. Of course now that it's 100-0 it's clearing out quickly.

Did you catch the announced figure? I gotta say I was unimpressed with the east side. West side looked great as usual.

It was a slow arriving crowd. I was quite worried about it. Usually the student section is packed by the time I get in there and that was not the case. But thing filled in very nicely when all was said and done.

If you put the people from the hill and the temp. seating on the east side then the permanent seating would have most likely overflowed.

The hill was packed and the upper east side was a little thin. I know why. For the first time in a while my group was on the west side and we're sporting some epic sun burns right now. It was brutal. We moved to the east side student section at the half.

On tv it likes empty based on the east side. Glad to hear it wasn't though!

I hear you on the sunburn. Made it all summer without one and get roasted in Boone in September. Didn't help the concession stand ran out of cold water either. Kept buying the stadium cups just to get a little ice. Great crowd, and great enthusiasm from players and the crowd.
Go App!

It was pretty packed. I was happy to see it. Crowd was pretty into it for such an uneven game too. Weather was awesome. Had a great day. Looking forward Clemson. See y'all there!

Solid, but not enough to talk about expansion. Perhaps the conference season will be different.

When you have more people than seats on labor day weekend against Foster's Home for the Blind and Deaf it's time to add a few.

I still saw plenty of aluminum shining and a fair share of grass on the hill. And not enough dollars in the bank account. We're one game removed from pitiful attendance, let's pump the brakes a little.

Good crowd considering the opponent and holiday weekend. There were a couple conference games last year with less people. If we play well the next two games we should have a packed stadium for Wyoming.

It's laughable to say we need to expand right now.

nope, lets start planning now, raise the money, and expand to 35 thousand in the next 3-5 years.

I just don't understand the infatuation with this talk of 35k. In the history of KBS we've hit 30k seven times, and 31k only once. At this point in time we do not need to expand. Like I've said before I'd be fine with completely renovating the east side and rebuilding it with roughly the same number of seats but building it so if needed we could make a seamless expansion. But we don't even have money for that.

That's a link to a picture from today's game at the 9:44 mark of the second quarter. That is a whooooole lot of aluminum

1) the app side and the bank were full. 2) the state side was relatively low.3)howard's attendance was nill.4) tailgating was huge.I think many people waited till the last minute to come because of the weather forecast.5) It took FOREVER to get in the gate, the computer ticket readers didn't work well.the sound system was distorted.JM and AE and the other inductees were great to see.GREAT GAME!!!

I've often wondered, how hard would it be to flip the "A" on the 50 yard line so it faces the away side and move the cameras to that side as well?
Because then you'd be focusing on the home side which is typically packed and looks a lot better on tv than the away side which can be quite desolate depending on the situation.
I know it would probably mean replacing the whole field (still think we need colored-in endzones) but the appearance of KBS would be well served.
