ECU AD letter to fans

Unread post by moonshine » Fri Aug 31, 2012 9:20 am

Do you think we will see something similar to this prior to our opening game against Montana? Maybe one of our alumni should write a piece for the Appalachian to ask the student body to treat our guests as well as the Griz treated our traveling fans.

Hear, hear. Terry Holland is a class act. If I recall correctly, he's about 6'7" & played on the Davidson College basketball team that went to the final four in @ 1964.

Looking forward to the ECU game. (We're gonna take their quarters.) Can't wait for kickoff --- I just wish it was not at noon.

And, in response to the AD's message, I hope all App fans behave as well as we are treated.

Interesting letter, I do remember a couple seasons ago Peacock putting out a similar response to our crowd after a couple of incidents at our games. In 2009 me and my best bud went to the ECU game and had a blast. And for the most part the ECU fans that we came in contact with were hospitable. We did get cursed at several times before the game and surprisingly after the game even though we almost beat them. But the most surprising part is in all cases the people cursing and yelling at us was the ECU women. The ECU guys that we came in contact with were shaking our hands and thanking us for making the trip.
