Prior to joining Luther athletics department he was the head assistant strength and conditioning coach for football at Auburn University (2012-16)

Assistant strength and conditioning coach for football and head strength coach for gymnastics, men's and women's tennis and softball Boise State University (2007-12)

Good hires or bad, I don't think anyone can argue the resumes are all top level guys he is bringing in. Most folks learn from failure as much as success. I for one will make an effort to reserve my opinion until we see the product the new staff puts out on the field. The engine and vehicle is in the shop until the end of August, lets see if these guys can tune it up and dial it in to win the 500 14 times next year.

He was one of the guys I heard about last week. I heard a lot of great things about his programming and that Glass talked with him and gave his stamp of approval. The expectation is to have more collaboration between football and Olympic sports (which didn't happen with Mike and Satt). Having Glass more involved with football S&C can only be a good thing.

I like the thought that Drink is bringing Roof in to mentor Gasp and prepare him to take the DC role soon. Maybe Gasp is really involved in playcalling this year for continuity and Roof handles a lot of the film and game prep

I find it odd that we announced quickly that DJ smith was retained, but now gasparto, if he was going to be retained.
Not saying he isn’t, and I hope he is, but why was DJ. Announced immediately, and still nothing on gasparto?
