Transfers

Unread post by appalum2003 » Fri Mar 29, 2013 9:29 am

From what I understand, even though we are ineligible for a SoCon Championship this year, we are still considered an FCS school in 2013.

We also need to start adding more scholarships immediately so that we can ramp up to the additional 22 schollys needed in 2014.

I understand we can give some extra scholarships to some preferred walk-on players, but we should be pushing hard to take any and all FBS potential transfers. If we can accept FBS transfers this year, they can play right away since we're technically still FCS and then play FBS football in 2014. It's a great incentive to the kids and helps us move closer to the scholarship numbers we need.

I agree, and I think we will start getting more looks from transfers who normally would not consider us, I just think that SS needs to be careful, and limit the number he allows, he also needs to folow Moore's rule that a potential tranfer must be in good standings with his previous school.
